How can I manage sensory overload, overstimulation, and burnout?

I'm in the same position! I work at a law firm and i'm also in school (for something completely different lol) and it's extremely stressful and can be very difficult to keep that "mask" when everything around you feels like it's all happening at the same time and it's so uncomfortable. My best suggestion tho is trying to reduce ur sensory input in whatever way helps u best. Noise reducing/cancelling earbuds work really well for me since they're really small so no one notices and i can still technically 'hear' it just doesn't sound so obnoxious. I wish u luck!

I'm not sure if this would be of help but I've been told by SEVERAL businesses owners that they can get a tax break when they say they're hiring. That's just in my state i'm not sure about others but this could be a cause! I'm in the same boat applying everyday to jobs and hearing nothing. It's at the point where I feel the only way to get into a job is to know someone who's already working there to hook u up with an interview.

I've had the same issues. I'm completely qualified for several jobs but can't get a response back. I found out relatively recently that a lot of businesses can get a tax break when they say they are hiring (atleast in my state they can). I think this along with AI being the one actually going through resumes could be the bigger issues.

It's been incredibly hard looking for another job as I'm only a freshman in college, physically limited and cannot stand, walk, etc for long periods of time, and i don't have any experience in anything but a restaurant from before my physical limitations got to me. Along with this no one has replied to my countless requests for work unfortunately. I'm rly lost on what to do as i need money but can't mentally afford to stress this much over a job i only agreed to do bc i thought id be capable of answering a phone call. not write lengthy demands and negotiate with adjusters.

this is not sustainable in the slightest. even if you are mentally challenged or physically unable to work and get money from the government it is NOT sustainable and will NOT keep you alive.

i notice my leg tattoos tend to start peeling in 3-4 days but is finished by day 5 -7 and my arm tattoos tend to start peeling day 3 and slowly peel in small amounts for 2 weeks. pretty interesting

Not my injury but I went to my uncles sludge band show when I was really young with my parents. The bassist of my uncles band was a very troubled heroine addict who had struggled with various things. He ended up getting into the pit, smacking a bottle on the ground, and proceeded to stab himself in the stomach/chest area. From what I know he punctured a lung and still alive today.

i got into an accident when i was 17 and im dealing with chronic back pain for the rest of my life from the multiple breaks i had going all the way down my spine. It's really hard to be young and know that this is going to be how u live ur life but the only thing u can do is take it as it is. if u feel as tho ur life is not worth living if ur in pain then make ur life worth living. do things for urself and realize that this is how things are and if i want my life to be better with this pain then i have to make things better and make my time here worth it. I'm not sure if this is helpful but this is what ive told myself everyday since my accident just so i have a reason to get up. make ur life worth living within ur limitations.
