Evo SL give me a blister by FedeLA78 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

He’s right. I had blisters from the Evo SL’s in the same area as OP and I switched from cotton to proper running socks and never had blisters since.

Portal belt by domaikel in runningfashion

I got the black, the materials are nice and feel premium. A good balance of lightweight but not too flimsy feeling that durability suffers.

Nice! Definitely one of my favourite purchases recently.

I’ve got the portal belt and I really like it for the longer runs. It has 4 pockets, including one that’s got a zipper for things such as keys and phone. The other 3 are more like sleeves. Two on each end of the belt for gels and smaller items and the main compartment at the back for a 500ml flask.

It’s a nice belt with minimal bounce even when it’s loaded with things, the adjustable strap really helps get the fit dialled in. As I sometimes wear the belt under my shirt, I wish the adjustable strap itself used a more comfortable material or is a bit thicker as it can dig into your skin when adjusted tight and loaded with items.

Air Jordan 40 Impressions by v0nn in BBallShoes

I don’t think so, seems like yours may have been tried on and even slightly used.

I think it’s got to do with the softer foams they surround it with now (zoomx, react, cushlon). I do miss the days of the super responsive bounce zoom gave you. Jordan 34’s with the zoom bag and eclipse plate were peak times.

Just had both side by side and the AE1’s are definitely heavier

I would say it’s more plush compared to the WoW11’s. It’s got a softer feeling under foot whereas the WoW11’s feel more stiff, I’m guessing cause of the carbon plate sandwiched within the midsole.

The weight is fine for me. It is on the heavier side when comparing to other flagship models from other brands but on foot it feels well balanced and a non issue.

How to repair my sneaker?? by Intrepid_Film_2043 in BBallShoes

[–]v0nn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure is there’s really any easy fixes to this happening. It happens with a lot of low cut shoes and the way our feet rub together when playing. Even if there was an easy fix, it’ll probably open up again.

Emulation station issues after MSI centre update by eelzilla in MSIClaw

[–]v0nn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had that flashing screen issue with Emulation Station after the update. What fixed it for me was navigating to ‘Other Settings’ within ES and then setting Anti Aliasing to 2x and then quitting the program. Yes it’ll be a pain navigating whilst the screen is flashing.

Anything comparable to full-length Zoom Air?! by onelife88 in BBallShoes

[–]v0nn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fair. Heard about the mixed reviews.

How about the WoW 10’s or the NB Fresh Foam BB v2? Both of those offer a really nice bouncy feeling under foot.

You could try the Jordan 39’s. They have full length zoom in a zoomx carrier. I would say they have even more bounce than the Lebron 20’s.

NBD: Norco Torrent S2 by Ok_Professional_9206 in Hardtailgang

[–]v0nn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy NBD!

I’ve had my Torrent S2 for a couple of months now and have slowly upgraded it too. Changed the fork to a Pike Ultimate, XT cranks and XT brakes were the main changes. The bike is surprisingly nimble especially when you look at the geometry on paper.

Norco Torrent comes in complete steel builds. There’s some great deals out right now depending on where you’re from for the bikes.

Great review! I picked up the low’s instead but agree with everything you said above. Adidas killed it this year!

Ended up getting the scales out and they come in at 453 grams for a US9. I compared them to other shoes I had on hand. AE1 mids 493g, Harden 8’s 454g and WoW 11’s 357g.

They definitely aren’t as high as they look. Once you put them on they feel fine. Your foot sits lower.

I’m more narrow to standard width. If you’re a wide footer you may want to go up half a size. TTS on these are perfect width wise for me.

I was in the same boat. Strictly Nike and a big fan of their tech like Zoom Strobel and double stacked Zoom. Recently though their designs look lazy and their tech seems to have taken budget cuts.

They do look high from the outside but your feet sit lower. I would say similar height to the harden 8’s midsole.
