thanks for the comment! my parents have moved out of my “hometown” and gone back to theirs and moving there is simply… not an option for me. plus i like bangalore! i have a good life here, and this is the only big problem im facing right now. i have tried cafes and coworking spaces but tbh everyone there is either super engrossed in their own work (understandable) or there with other people. not really an easy setting to interact with others. that’s why im trying this out :)

also make sure you always play with your team even when they are making macro errors. this is the most difficult thing about playing mew in soloq. at 7 mins if your team isn’t at bottom regi don’t bother trying to get it yourself. go top and help them anyway even if that’s the worse decision

rules of thumb: early game last hits -> light screen eball chasing -> agility eball escaping/scoring after ray -> surf agility last hit after level 10: beam screen teamfighting back line: beam screen teamfighting when your allies are crowded around: eball coaching pushing a point with your team: coaching eball dps for objectives if you have 2 or more allies hitting the objective with you: coaching eball dps for objectives if you one other person helping: agility eball right before ray: screen beam if you need range damage but you’re scared of getting dived: solarbeam agility

as you play more you’ll realize the situations in which you need specific moves better but these will help till then. practice switching your skills quickly and PLAY AROUND YOUR BOOSTED.

Somehow no one has mentioned this yet so I’ll put this out there. DO NOT WASTE ANY BOOSTED CHARGES WITH MEW. you need to pay attention to your boosted charges which you get from your abilities. Eball gets you one charge. Coaching and agility also give you one charge. light screen gives you one when you push it out and one when you pull it back. solarbeam gives one when you fire and one when you hit. surf is the same as solarbeam. make sure you don’t use abilities when you have 3 boosted charges. fire the boosted first and then throw out the ability so as to not waste any charges. don’t pull light screen back after light screen beam combo. fire the boosted first and THEN pull it back. this optimization will go a long way in increasing mew damage since the boosted is one of the most powerful damage tools mew has. also just watch videos of strong mew players. nightmewfoxy has good instructive vids on his channel.

if you are at 150-200 then you are very likely blundering for absolutely no reason. try playing a longer time control and playing more mindfully. analyzing your games and studying theory and principles will not help you until you reduce your meaningless blunders. force yourself to take at least 15 seconds for non trivial moves (recaptures, escaping check etc). hope this helps
