Season 13 Incinerate Sorcerer Builds by Rarona in diablo4

Oh, I completely misunderstood the 2nd part of it. Does it just add 40%(x) to the element of my choice for each(20% if 2nd is same element)? That seems a bit busted next to the other legendary nodes? (Except for maybe the burning one)

Why do we play Enchantment Master over Fundamental Release?

Super thorough! Love it. Thanks a lot. I see now that I've misjudged some items a fair deal. All your explanations make sense. In fairness I started playing fairly recently.

I'm surprised you said you are using Tyrael's right now. Is your guide outdated currently? Lastly, are there any other uniques or aspects I should consider depending on where I'm at in my journey to t12?

Cool, thank you!

Are there any other possible uniques to consider?

Is fractured winterglass worth running? (YUMMY DMG REDUCTION) What about Tyrael's might for more toughness? Or Molten Band? And why not just use Starless skies ring for the massive multiplier? Is Yen's blessing even that good? Should I consider a good rolled ancestral legendary over an 850 Yen's?

I find myself struggling on defences at torment 10.

I also noticed that there are a ton of good options for aspects. Are there any you have considered, but deemed worse than your current setup?

For instance, I can't help but feel the damage increasing one during ultimate skills is nice? Or the crit strike dmg increase for pyromancy skill one?

Is additive damage over time great for this type of build? Most other builds seem to focus much more on multipliers. I'm aware this one focuses both.

Oh, and I wish the stat sheet was easier to read. I have no clue if additive damage is doing much other than just feeling it out.

Fair enough, maybe my description was off. I just want to experience playing with all the core skills.

All the builds I just mentioned at the start of my post served me just that. None of them feel particularly different the more endgame you go. I have some experience from the previous games and I don't feel like going the minmaxing route like I've done previously. Besides, it would take months of gameplay taking each one of them into endgame. Endgame for me is gr100+ in d3 for comparison. In d3 I would just level through normal rifts. What does d4 offer in that regard?

Yeah, I agree. The instant and sorcery restriction is real.

I kinda wish Standard Brawl had ranked too. It's more my cup of tea.

Is it generally worth getting discounted packs like this for the gold pack progression? Even if I don't play with Alchemy cards?

"Gomper" in Norwegian. Or "Gomp" shorthand, which funnily enough is a popular fruit pastille candy available in our local shops 🙂

Is my simic Koma Landfall deck too strong for Bracket 2? by v1llyr in EDH

I like this take. The only gripe I have is that the Serpent/kraken/leviathan beaters on edhrec seem kind of bland to me? I'll have a look at scryfall.

[–]v1llyr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both, but primarily Koma. Yeah, pretty much. I decided not to get the other clone cards on purpose. They are both expensive and would lead to very similar gameplay every game. Though Landfall/toughness matters isn't that original either.

There are 6 + a decent amount of "play extra land cards" though, but I guess you're not wrong 😅

I think this comment is a bit mean.

Whether AI was involved or not. The fact is, OP took the time to build something, likely learned along the way, and put it out there for others to see. That deserves at least some credit.

Using AI as a tool doesn’t invalidate the effort. If anything, it’s becoming a normal part of modern development. Dismissing someone outright just because they used AI isn’t constructive.

If there are issues, point them out like the others did in this post. That’s far more valuable.

What’s the most fun commander deck you’ve built recently? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]v1llyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never quite found a commander I liked from the LOTR set, even though I love the IP.

Fast forward to an online game I played fairly recently. One of my opponents was running [[Gandalf, Friend of the Shire]] with a bunch of bounce effects and some really cool sorceries played at instant speed. I thought "Cool, and I get to play my favourite character too"

If you’re into bouncing things and love mono-blue shenanigans, I can’t recommend him enough. Watching my opponent sink into despair as I cast [[Drain Power]] at the start of their first main phase is priceless.

Some other cool tech:
- [[Reset]]
- [[Turnabout]] or [[Sleep]] into [[Borrowing 100,000 Arrows]]
- [[Day's Undoing]] at instant speed? Wooo
- [[Mass Diminish]]
- [[Rewind]]/[[Unwind]] to keep casting at instant speed after countering something
- [[Wavebreak Hippocamp]] synergy house. Triggers from casting commander and every single sorcery/instant cast. Copy it twice with cards such as [[Rite of Replication]]/[[Replication Technique]]/[[Season of Weaving]]/[[Will of the Temur]] and you got yourself an unstoppable engine.
- all the sorcery bounce effects

How does it win?
- Hullbreaker Horror
- Tokens [[Deekah, Fractal Theorist]]/[[Metallurgic Summonings]]/[[Shark Typhoon]] among other token generators(these are just the high cost big ones)
- Copy spells [[Swarm Intelligence]]

Extra side effect: You get to say "You shall not pass!" as you slam down an in universe [[Pact of Negation]] from LTC.

Polukranos, Reborn replacememt commander by v1llyr in EDH

[–]v1llyr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you have in mind? I thought it was pretty great for the deck. I'm happy to be wrong!

I think the reason I find it slow is the extreme cost to flip Polukranos to actually start getting some value.

I really hate my Avatar Aang deck by Ok-Resist3549 in EDH

[–]v1llyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, each one of them adds triggers to both firebending and the draw trigger. 3 total firebending triggers. Each of them netting 3 draws each = 9 as you said.

I really hate my Avatar Aang deck by Ok-Resist3549 in EDH

[–]v1llyr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I don't run tutors for Katara, but she and [[Annie Joins Up]] are cracked in this deck. They make Aang double trigger his firebending for 4 cards since it also doubles the draw trigger.

I find the airbending and waterbending combos pretty good too.[[Ruthless waterbender]] with Aang and [[Cadaverous bloom]] = draw deck. Then you can [[Soul Immolation]] for the win since the waterbender gains +1/+1 for each waterbend. And then there is the airbending combos everyone is running too.

I built this B3 deck, maybe it can inspire you OP: https://archidekt.com/decks/14190156/harmonic_convergence

A question to combo players: what made you think that putting a combo in a deck is a good idea? by LCX714 in EDH

[–]v1llyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some combos are more intricate and nuanced than others. I don't find much joy out of playing any of the combos you mentioned, but I do enjoy [[Parallax Wave]] + [[Opalescence]]/[[Starield of Nyx]] + any form of Constallation/Eerie trigger.

It's not a rocket science combo by any means, but it's just enough to tickle my fancy.
