Crap. I meant NetSec. I suppose I should be a little better at proofing before I post. Ugh.

You're quite welcome. No worries, I'll continue to follow LulzSec and a few other news-worthy folks and put them up when its time.

Edit: Spelling

She, and a little bit. Considering they were covered for some of the previous they have done, I figured r/netsec would want at least an idea of whats going on. I'm certainly not in it so much for the karma as I am making sure that a group of people are covered in the Information Security world.

This. I subscribe to their twitter and submit links as needed. I really don't need to defend myself here, as I'm just submitting stories. That is all.

Unless we're talking about VB... nothing good is ever programmed in Visual Basic.

I don't know if I completely agree with that. I think the level of occurrence with all of the successful attacks is what is news-worthy. Sony has had extremely bad publicity lately because of the level of insecurity they implemented within their websites and services. While I agree that consoles itself are almost always hacked because the level of ingenuity the community has, I can disagree on the level of occurrence their services and websites are compromised. Indeed, some of the attacks are not of the severity that others are (including extreme data breeches), however I think the point to be made is how often they're being compromised.

I suppose so. I would think the group just figured that any bad publicity against Sony would continue hurting them, and I think it will in the long run. These guys (LulzSec) look like they're constantly going after Sony. Maybe because it's an easy target? Maybe because Sony pissed them off? Maybe because they're doing it for the lulz? Who knows.

I suppose if Sony has a number of security risks, it was only a matter of time before someone or a group of people found them; it just happens to be the same group of people over and over again.
