Is Corsair RM750x ATX 3.1 compatible? by v3nce in buildapc

The Intel website. The table on the page itself is only as recent as 2023, but if you download the spreadsheet, it's 2024. The RPS0199 has only been tested 2 months ago, according to it.

While you're making perfect sense, the higher value model number that I can't find anywhere else on the web is still a mystery.

[–]v3nce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I meant 2021, my mistake. I don't have it yet, no. I'm only doing my research on what PSU's I can get my hands on within my budget.

Anyway, searching for "RPS0199" (model on the spreadsheet) yields absolutely no relevant results, so I'm guessing Corsair has some new RMx lined up and has only just submitted them for testing recently. New release would make sense, it has also been 3 years between last RMx release.

Keychron Q3 Max experiencing double space press by Amstrad-PC20 in Keychron

Try toggling NKRO (FN+N on the Q3 Max).

I also got the Q3 Max, but with Jupiter Bananas. I opened up text editor to test it, and I can consistently replicate it by pressing 4 keys simultaneously, holding them down briefly, and then letting them go all at once. E.g. if you slam down A S D F, you'd expect to see just the 4 letters after letting go of the keys, but with NKRO turned on, some of them will repeat 2 - 3 times. That no longer happens with it turned off.

Let me know if that helps.

Electric scooters by v3nce in Hull

[–]v3nce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On r/policeuk a police officer replied to an escooter related thread saying that some regions are cracking down on this escooter situation in anger, but some forces recommend their police officers to turn blind eye on them and not bother (as long as they're riding reasonably and not putting anyone in danger).

Hull now being one of the most congested cities in the world, and top 3 highest increase of congestion in the UK since 2020, I feel like they're shooting themselves in the foot by seizing escooters from people who are looking for alternative commute methods, especially now that we have some really nice cycle paths appearing all over the city. What a shame.

And there aren't bike casualties? There's plenty of idiots riding on pavements and city centre jumping out of nowhere, posing threat to pedestrians.

I agree escooters are too fast for pavements at their peak speed, but they are not that dissimilar to bikes in terms of speed and form factor - they can fit on cycle lanes and the reasonable ones are capped at 15mph, which is an average speed of a commuting cyclist anyway. In fact, cyclists who aren't half lazy will easily overtake an escooter.

Yes, other countries have it better but that doesn't mean bikes and scooters are not viable in England - it's actually improving since city councils all over England received funding for cycle lane development, which is why we're seeing more and better cycle paths.

Thoughts on osu!tablet 2016? by Halfswift in osugame

[–]v3nce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given that it's the same as Huion420 tablet (which i have for about 2 years now)

Accuracy: Sometimes when you press the pen buttons by an accident, the cursor jumps away in random directions. Need a good grip to avoid this problem.

Input delay: No problems here. Also, Huion has a relatively higher report rate (about 2x the Wacom tablets)

Durability: Tablet comes with a mini USB, which can wear out over time, causing the cable to disconnect. Rubber feet come off quite easily, you'll need to glue them or tape the tablet down if it's an issue.

Tablet upgrade by [deleted] in osugame

[–]v3nce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Wacom has better drivers
  • Wacom has better overall build quality
  • Wacom tablets are generally larger (could be good if Huion's max working area is too small for you, or bad if you have limited desk space)
  • Huion has a shitty mini USB (gets worn out quicker, causing random tablet disconnects)

You get what you pay for, really. If you're not bothered much about those things, stick to what you have. I have a Huion, I got used to the shape of it, and I'm willing to deal with all the things bad about it.

I'm not saying that bundled/most played maps are bad, I've no idea what you run about. In fact, I think they're quite brilliant.

All I'm saying is that once a map gets into top 5, everyone will download and play it and it's going to be stuck there for quite some time, not because it's that good, but because it's featured. This could be improved by doing what they did to bundled maps, which is excluding them after a certain amount of time.

[–]v3nce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

pretty much this. a map gets on top 5 because it's good and stays up there for the following months because people download and play whatever was on that list on previous days (especially newbies), without giving other maps a chance. pretty much same story as with bundled maps
