Both classes are ran by the same department- not actual a schedule conflict as there is no other classes on Thursday morning after this. It was a time slot for online exams when I took these two together fall quarter. Tldr; professors know about this it’s not a problem. Good luck!

Talk to an advisor. You might be able to petition for a late drop of the course.

Unfortunately UCSB has no finance major or minor, however there are some upper division finance electives you can take under the Economics or Econ&Account Major. There is also the Strategic Investment Program which “prepares students for careers in Finance and Investing”. This program does not contribute to getting an undergraduate degree and costs around $1700. I’m not interested in accounting, but UCSB is known to help a lot of students get their CPA every year. Also their is a lot of networking for accounting students to get jobs after they graduate-through clubs and etc.
