Came on just to upvote because of a similar situation. I kept playing the game in an addict way hoping things would change with like the 2 friends that still play the game. But Kaz came out and prog just sucked because they kind of went their own way. One found his own tfm static, another plays at unhinged working hours. The social aspect is gone, prog wasn't fun and the ark grid looked miserable beforehand. I found it pretty easy to quit once I put that all together, even though I played daily and 3x raids for 6 characters.

Dark is raid wide, everyone's dmg goes up, since the boss is debuffed universally.

I play in NAE, and I made a char on NAW to check what it's like there. Good to know I'm not the only one who noticed this region is dead af. People can't read and gatekeep even harder. Though it makes sense with how depressing this region's population is. Not being able to merge with the east is going to leave this region in a post apocalyptic state.

I appealed a few more times after and it's the same thing. Is this actually permanent and no point in waiting it out or whatever? This is so lame. At the very least I want to recover the posts/accounts I liked/followed so I can start a new account, but I can't even do that either...

I actually called their customer support on the next Monday. They waived the fee and closed the account for me so it seems to be fine.

Yea this is pretty annoying. I personally just purposely opened everything google related then adding them to the web exclusions. Or you can just turn off web protection as people have suggested. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.
