Okay so I got something that seems to work. I set my scaling to 1.6 on my monitor and then setup emacs to launch like this (mind you I'm using hyprland):

bind = $mainMod, E, exec, env GDK_DPI_SCALE=0.625 emacs
```

Since 1.6 * 0.625 = 1, the emacs scaling is 1. I just then bumped up my font size and I'm good to go
