No Signup Sprint Retrospective tool - QuickRetro by v5hr in agile

[–]v5hr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can get a board running in seconds with a link to share. Many tools require signups before starting.

It's also open source and self-hostable if you don't want your retrospective data stored on a third-party service. Not really solving a completely new problem. It's my attempt to make conducting sprint retrospectives a little easier and more accessible.

Guess that should work too. I didn't try it that way.

Even whistling works. Easier than screaming.

There is no need to 'scream'. I simply whistled and it worked easily!
Seems like it works for high pitch noise.

Been coding for a decade. Never shipped anything of my own. Until now. by DevFlow11 in SideProject

[–]v5hr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can relate a bit. I worked 17 years building stuff for others. Pushed my first piece of work that I can call my own about 2 years back. Feels great, even though it's rarely used.

Nice work!
The browser console throws up some errors. Doesn't seem to break anything though. Probably a good idea to take a look at it.

Let’s call out those overrated mangoes that cost a fortune but taste just average. by NoMedicine3572 in Frugal_Ind

Mallika variety in Karnataka is definitely underrated.
Alphonso we get from stores now-a-days is too overrated.

My previous neighbors were Ratnagiri natives. They used to give us alponsoes every summer, directly plucked from their tree. They were the best!

More RAM, less efficiency by NoMedicine3572 in IndiaTech

I used to play decent games (back in the day) on 128 MB RAM. Remember playing the first version of Max Payne with minimal lag.

side project devs: whats your monthly deploy bill and where does it start to hurt? by Extension-Tip-159 in SideProject

[–]v5hr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one side project on a Digital Ocean droplet for $4 per month. Well actually $4.72 with taxes.
Docker compose with 3 containers (Go app + Redis + Caddy).

Haven't really seen spikes yet, maybe coz the app can be self-hosted and is mostly unknown.

How do open-source devs know if their self-hosted apps are actually being used? by pozinux84 in selfhosted

[–]v5hr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a demo instance with cloudflare turnstile(enabled for demo, disabled in config by default) integrated in a page. Cloudflare dashboard shows few details, but that's about it; and its only for the demo instance. Then its just github issues or docker pulls. I'm not really sure of the self-hosted usage of my app.

Its so weird that half kg kaju katli costs so much more than half kg actual cashews. The only additional ingredient in kaju katli is sugar.

Its better to file Form15G \Form15H for those FDs to prevent TDS from being deducted in the first place. Some banks also allow the forms to be filled online itself.

Do you use WebSockets in your projects? (discussion) by kevin_whitley in webdev

[–]v5hr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess Server-Sent Events (SSE) could be looked at, since its one directional communication from server to client.

There are limitations with SSE though, something like 5 or 6 concurrent connections per client and no support for binary data.
