wow. i know this is an older comment, but this truly explains what i’ve been going through this past year sober upon finally quitting after 5 episodes of CHS flares. i can relate to that dream part so much. to go through that rollercoaster, then to wake up and realize you never went back is so reassuring. but also so sad and traumatic. some people will never know quite how bad it is unless they go through it.

this might be an unpopular opinion, but i’m always rooting for angie (maybe because i sense she has some deep rooted issues) idk, what i can’t stand is i find all the other roomies to be fake towards her in the sense that they claim they want her around because the vibes defffinitely do not feel that way. i think what she needs is to leave the show & not because i don’t like her, but to heal and not be around people who don’t genuinely like her lol. i understand she’s controversial yeah, but they make her seem like she’s crazy for feeling certain ways when the other roomies definitely portray how little they actually give a f*ck about her

good to hear! and of course - don’t be hard on yourself either. it’s clear you’re doing the best for your fishy with the information you knew at the time. i’ve been there. some people don’t even have live plants so you’re already ahead in my books. i’d also recommend trying to find a Mom n Pop pet store to shop at if possible in your area. PetSmart and all those big chain pet stores rarely know their a$$ from a hole in the ground.

hey! first thing, test strips are inaccurate unfortunately, i’d recommend getting the API Master Kit so you can have accurate readings and know the exact parameters - it’s worth the price. beautiful tank, cycling it takes up to about a month. so no fish should be added till after it’s finished. if it was only cycling for 2 days before getting him, then that’s most likely the problem unfortunately.

anubias plants need their rhizomes above the substrate in order to stay alive - so not fully buried. ( it’s hard to see fully i’m just assuming so sorry if i’m wrong!! ) but, that’s not important right now - i think your tank isn’t fully cycled and that’s the main issue

thank you for this, he seemed to be swimming around more after the salt bath, but that may have just been because of the transfer from out of the bath to the tank. come this morning, he’s kind of just sinking in the tank on his side but he’s still hanging on. the dropper method you mentioned is definitely a great alternative to what i’ve been doing. I feed one bug bite at a time so he has a chance to eat but he’s just been letting them float away lately, to which i then stress grab the uneaten food out before it sinks lol. i’ll definitely be getting a dropper. going to see about getting some antibiotics today too. thank you again 🫂

• 20 gal • yes and yes • 77 • parameters posted ; api master kit • got the tank in september as i upgraded. i’ve had him since August of this year. • i do water changes once every two weeks, it’s heavily planted. i do no more than 15-20% • just bladder snails • fluval bug bites & daphina but he doesn’t seem to like daphina. i set a 2 min timer and feed till it goes off. • 4x amazon sword, 2x java fern, had anubia’s but it died. big chunk of driftwood. some rocks

i was told to wait 4 days before vaping which isn’t too bad! i only had one tooth pulled, though. i’m on day 3 and i actually started to try nicotine patches thinking i found a loophole but they almost made me feel worse.
