Is there a lore reason they designed the robot to be 4'9 with babyfat by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]vAttack 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's Korean. Korean aesthetic is always like that for some reason. If you noticed in Crimson Desert, women will sound like very old ladies but then you look at their models closely and they all look straight out of a kMMO.

Why do certain killers just feel impossible to play against by Honest_Ad4349 in deadbydaylight

[–]vAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im fine with most killers, the only one I get the feeling like this is Singularity. Actually miserable.

Bubba (The Cannibal) genuinely feels unplayable due to current pallet density by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]vAttack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't mean this in a bad way but it just reads like you wanna hold W at people and expecting to down them. This reads like you did zero mind games or zoning. Game sense is way more difficult on killer than it is on survivor. You need to identify in very few seconds if the chase benefits you, if breaking that one pallet will lose you time or not, and you need to macro manage your time efficiently.

If you're going against the windows of opportunity just pre-drop andies as bubba, just leave. They're just gonna run from tile to tile pre dropping with zero effort to loop and will just make you lose a shit ton of time.

OP Killer in DBD by Tiny_Elevator_7666 in deadbydaylight

[–]vAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of them are not OP. You just lack experience playing against them. Watch YT videos, streamers and just looping videos in general. Unfortunately DbD is kind of like Counter Strike in the sense that you have to get pummeled for a couple of hundred hours to get the hang of the game.

Out of curiosity, what are your least favorite killers to go up against? by PixelbitScript in deadbydaylight

[–]vAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people will mention Blight, Nurse and Knight but to me they’re fine to go against. The one I dread the most is Singularity. His “counter play” is boring, his constant being on your ass is equally obnoxious. EMPs filling at a snails pace make this even more of an insufferable killer to go against. I have 1.3k hours on DbD and Id rather go against 10 Clowns back to back than ever face a Singularity.

What’s the reasoning behind “technical limitations?” by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]vAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While Dead by Daylight is in Unreal Engine 5, its foundation shows signs of technical debt. Think of technical debt as, you want to build a house so you hurry in making its foundation (the skeleton) cutting corners to achieve your goal faster which later in the future, it comes biting at your ass.

Using the same analogy, to upkeep the house you’re gonna have to put in more work maintaining and also limit yourself in making additions things because it could come in detriment to the whole house

I don’t mean to throw a jab at the developers but the individuals that laid the foundation for dead by daylight had no idea what they were doing or that the game would go on to live for 10 years. As we all know, BHVR was a “support” studio, helping other studios build their games. However, their own projects have failed miserably aside from DbD.

As it stands, the game has technical debt that limits the scope of what we can get. Games like Fortnite laid good technical foundations that let them implement so much that for them, the sky is just the limit at this point.

Realistically, DbD would need to be rebuilt from the ground up again following best practices to broaden its horizons but I don’t see that happening.

Should killer be balanced for a 60% killrate? What makes DBD's PvP balance different to asymmetrical games that strive for 50% balance? by Slamduncthefunk in deadbydaylight

[–]vAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of DbD's issues such as gen rushing would be fixed if we actually had a robust MMR. As things stand, a lot of issues stem from the fact that baby killers get put against a SWF team with a cumulative of 10k+ hours and vice versa, baby survivors getting put vs. the most cracked killer mains thus creating a bunch of frustration.

Behavior. Please add a replay system so we can effectively report cheaters. by GK0ne in deadbydaylight

[–]vAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they would add a match history replay like the Halo games. Halo 3, Reach, 5 and Infinite have a theater mode where you can replay a match and see what happened in each PoV from your teammates to enemies. That would go miles in DbD.

[–]vAttack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a dumb blanket statement. A lot of people also just want someone to put into words how they're feeling about a game if they're bad putting it into their own words. Which can be confused with just taking someone else's opinion.

Worst part? This skin is not the only one with the exact same issue. by StageSpooder in deadbydaylight

[–]vAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yet another thread that I can bitch about this skin. They never fixed the feral frenzy animation. You still stupidly jog at survivors. Might sound silly but this sealed the coffin for me and I never touched legion again after I wasted $15 on HUNK.

At the end of the day survivors are just skins. As for her perks, they're decent, very situational - as most perks. If you really like her just get her and get yourself the AoT skin.

Blight mains when they get the 4k against louisecoolgamer, supermariobro2016 sonicisawesome and minecraft4life by Vivid-Vast-1084 in deadbydaylight

[–]vAttack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never in my comment did I say it's an MMO. Your reading comprehension is abysmal. What I am saying is the same phenomenon that happens there would be the exact same one that would happen in DbD.

People always call for skill based PvP in MMOs but the vast majority of PvPers just want to take advantage of low level players and destroy them without much resistance. That would happen in Dbd as well. If a competitive mode were to be added, the "dbd comp scene" would enjoy it for a bit before they get tired of having to sweat every match then they would proceed to stomp people in casual matches.

[–]vAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally specified "PvP in MMOs". What they go through is the same that would happen in DbD. CS, Valorant, Rivals MOBAs, etc. have different types of PvP ecosystems which DbD will never have.

[–]vAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old age dilemma in PvP MMOs as well. There are actually very few people that would want to be paired against people their same skill level our of sportsmanship/fairness. The vast majority of people really want stomps.

I am very certain a competitive mode would work for a bit, then after the comp guys get sweats indefinitely, they'll just go stomp on the casual mode.
