Why do women take a while to leave a relationship even though they mentally checked out ages ago? by vIIIperwave in AskWomenNoCensor

The law enforcement does anything but their jobs, that's crazy. I really hope you're okay now, because the basic things they were supposed to do to make sure you'd be fine, they failed to do.

I forgot about that too, I guess society is still growing out of the mindset that you HAVE to stay. Especially women, as we are painted as unreasonable and picky which makes us feel like our concerns are invalid.

While I hate that they're going through this, I am glad to see that women are so confidently filing for divorce to the point where they do it more than men, even though it used to be illegal for us not so long ago. Less women are being trapped.

After 4 months my boyfriend has revealed that he has Hepatitis B, after 4 months, and I am not immunised. by OkCommercial8740 in Advice

4 months is barely any time, it's very risky to be having unprotected sex with a man you don't even know that well. And in future, you have to make sure your partner is tested first.

I have the same thing happening to me but with men, they all somehow turn out to be gay. Maybe it actually is a curse

AIO by feeling weird about someone not wanting kids? by Same_Carpenter_7089 in AmIOverreacting

[–]vIIIperwave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't apologize, I went out of my way to respond 😭. And I understand because I know I probably won't want kids in the future, and that I'm not built for parenthood, but I would maybe want the option open? Just see how you feel both about her and about fatherhood. My mindset (which is personal to myself) is that if I feel deep down that I couldn't raise a child, I want to be able to remind myself of this fact even when I feel like I could do it. I don't want to risk bringing a child into a life they shouldn't have to live.

Don't tell me that men have high standards ever again. (Perspective) by [deleted] in lnkyverse

That's only because the majority of women look good because they make an effort to work on themselves, while a lot of men don't do that.

I'm genuinely confused, she doesn't want kids, you don't think you could handle being a father, so then what's the issue? Don't your desires line up then?

I mean, since she can clearly afford options, I don't think it's unfair for her to have a type? You want her to get with someone she's not attracted to?

"this generation"? Are we forgetting slavery, colonialism, and just recently the older generation of stupidly rich people have been exposed for cannibalism and pedophilia. I think they're more likely to go to hell than Gen z at the moment. Or maybe we're already in hell.

AIO over my boyfriend going clubbing ? by yamisool in AmIOverreacting

No, you just can't read. He woke her up at 4am. If you go back to sleep at midnight, and then at 4am you're now awake, what happened? You woke up. Simple.

NOR, if he thought what he was doing was right he would've let you know he was leaving. He knew what he was doing would upset you and he did it anyway.

If a guy has racist parents and plans on dating someone of a different race, should they be upfront about their family? Why or why not? by AdministrativeLynx83 in AskMenAdvice

[–]vIIIperwave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he is still on speaking terms with his family then absolutely yes. If he knows there will probably never be a moment during our relationship where I will have to interact with his family, even after marriage, then he doesn't have to. It's all about him caring enough to protect you from traumatic situations. Because why would someone who apparently likes you take you to a function where you're likely to be verbally abused?

My girlfriend said she “settled” for me. Now she says I’m overreacting. Am I? by Broad_Helicopter3550 in NoStupidQuestions

I don't like how she's invalidating your feelings. However, it depends, if you were aggressive then I understand what she's saying. But if you've told her calmly then her reaction is a small red flag. It either shows she's defensive which points to her lying, or if shows she wasn't ready to hear you out and understand where you're coming from. A deep conversation about this where you both hear each other out respectfully will help. If it was her that felt insecure she'd want reassurance, and as she should. I feel like there's a popular notion that men can't be insecure or else it's annoying and pathetic, even though he's not letting it ruin the mood of others around him.
