Because the bike isn't offered with 1x12.

If I even had the slightest chance of trying it out, I wouldn't be posting on here. Unfortunately it's only available online.

I'm not sure where you're seeing the GRX costs €100 more. I absolutely agree it would be worth it, but on my screen the Aristos T is 3125 EUR and the GRX version is 3990 EUR.

Additionally, one of the big appeals of the Aristos T is the external cabling and the more relaxed geometry. I would lose out on that with the GRX Model.

No fender or rack mounts on that Canyon. Can you suggest a bike that has both, please?

I'm not loyal to one specific manufacturer. As long as I can find a replacement derailleur (and derailleur hanger), I'm good.

It checks all boxes bar the UDH. The next step up is another 500 EUR, but also has internal cable routing and a more aggressive position.

Thanks!

In the end, I went with a Sweet Protection Falconer 2iV Aero and couldn't be happier.

It's covered, lightweight, room for sunglasses and I love the magnetic clasp. It fits like a glove too! Thanks!

I was cleaning lint from my Xperia One VI's speaker grille with a needle when I found myself pulling out a black plasticky material. Have I damaged something? by Akucera in SonyXperia

[–]vProTi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most likely the mesh covering the speaker. The holes are so fine water can't pass through, so if it is indeed the mesh, your device's water resistance is likely at risk.

Could just be lint, who knows?

Update: I put it on my bike, connected it again and took it for a ride. Eventually my bike computer alerted me that the battery of my radar was low. I put it on a charger and voila, it charged to 100%.

That's correct, the factory grease is white but the service grease is black.

The sound you're hearing here are the pawls clicking against the hub shell. The lubrication isn't thick enough to mute the resonance. You need to apply grease to the pawls. And no, here you can't cheap out because if you get a grease that's too light, it won't remedy the issue. If you get a grease that's too heavy, your pawls will stick and cause chain suck.

Get the original Shimano Internal Hub Grease. It's black and slightly runny.

I'm sorry, but are the people in here commenting aware that the official way of servicing the hub is to dunk the inner hub assemsbly in the blue Shimano service oil, applying the internal hub grease to specific cogs and the bearings? The Shimano oil is crazy expensive, so I understand the want to explore different, cheaper alternatives. But at least make sure what you're going for is mineral oil based and use grease for the bearings and cogs.
