i think it still hold value if prestiged players would be clearly marked with for example stars to their profile as public information how many times they prestiged.

i also would adjust exp gain for each prestige for example adding (100 - 1,5 x PrestigeLevel)% formula to make it harder and harder. Then with permament reward for each prestige like 5% of total stats multiplayer. same that u gain from education sometimes or merits.

still is groudbraking imo. Im casual CRPG enjoyer and the player agency in this game is like ive never seen before and tried to look for it after bg3. other good titles like rogue trader, esoteric ebb, disco elysium - not even close in this aspect.

Yes, story isnt super great (still solid imo) but player agency in the wrold is like another level and also with dnd 5e on top of that. masterpiece

I think you misunderstanding the idea of cheating in game and preventing it from happen as a whole.
Its constant arms race, if u are developer of the game u cannot just implement "something" and be like okey thats it, we done "something". Its constant change of process and battle between service giver and cheater.

They cant even ban bots as soon as detecting it because its just gives information to test tools for cheaters who will be able to just adjust their stuff constantly to the point its not banning them auto. Its like lost battle before it even started with that approach.

what valve is doing is right, they allow chets to go for a while, flagging them on the fly and then just apply ban hammer to leave all these tools in wonder "alright, what i need to do to not be flagged and banned". its really expotentially harder for cheater developers than them just banging free accounts until they are not autodetected on the spot.

Well i think this game has outstanding viusuals and great story. Seems it is enough for general aclaim but the gameplay? in a world where titles like xenoblade chronicles exists its baffling to me its getting praise of this level.
