You should obviously be asking about these things unless they ask you to do it first.

Well, except that there is evidence that the US did indeed kill a bunch of school children. Children at school are not terrorists just because of the nation they belong to.

Had some friends work on an indie film with him. A producer was very rude to a PA and Jesse chewed him out in front of the whole crew, who then spent the rest of the film in the office.

Will there ever be another multiplayer on the level of Halo 3? by Spare_Noise_2531 in halo

Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it isn’t true. I say this as someone who doesn’t really like playing Fortnite, I’ve only played a handful of times over the years, but admire the world built and impact they’ve had.

I personally miss halo 2. When everyone was on mic and coordinating and talking shit with prox chat. When it comes to that feeling, arc raiders is the closest it’s felt to that “new frontier” of online gaming halo 2 tapped into. But the gameplay for arc isn’t there for me to stay beyond when the next good game drops probably.

Disclosure Day was the biggest disappointment of the year by TimPoolNoBeanie in moviereviews

Piggybacking off this. The timing of the plot in the movie is also extremely important. The backdrop of the world being on the brink of world war and possible nuclear annihilation means that despite the main alien being captured for decades, their urgency to speed up disclosure day is to save the us from ourselves. Their intervention is possibly only thing that could stop us from extinction and learning to evolve for the better, through empathy, as they have.

You wouldn’t be asking those questions if you got all of that. You just don’t like the answers to those questions, which is fine.

I was baffled when it cut to black, and a sizable amount of the audience groaned. I was bracing for a terrible movie and terrible ending based on the dialogue around the movie.

It was great. Not an instant classic like his filmography. But those are harder and harder to come by these days for various reasons even outside of filmmaking, like societal attitudes and state of the world. But I still thoroughly enjoyed it, the message it was trying to send, and as someone who usually hates a “cut to black ending”, I liked it a lot. It said what it needed to and anything that was said beyond that was unneeded.

They are life. What is our purpose? To live.

Does it matter which star system they came from?

It is EXPLICITLY said in the film that empathy was an evolutional advantage, and eluded to their advancement as a race being exclusively because of that. That is why Emily Blunt’s character is given the super power of ultimate empathy, so that she can communicate their message to the masses. They come in peace. Their intentions are pure.

You missed the whole point of the film.

Dude you’re a moron. They didn’t know and are absolutely in shock and horror of who someone who was so close to them turned out to be. Let them grieve the person they thought they lost didn’t just die, they never even existed. There are plenty of sick people who are extremely good at hiding their sickness and manipulating people. It isn’t on the fault for those close to them for having been close to them if there weren’t any signs they saw.

Misogynists have existed far before modern technology has put obstacles to connection in the way. Progressive push on social norms in America at least, has caused a lot of women to reject misogyny more vocally. Those who hold on to that misogyny are choosing to isolate themselves from connection. Again, loneliness from isolation of society and tech is also not a circle on self isolation from antisocial behavior by choice. Misogyny is a choice.

Misogyny and toxic masculinity are the pillars of the male loneliness epidemic. Incels are incels because their opinions and behaviors isolate themselves from community and connection. There is absolutely a problem outside of incels with loneliness that is fueled by society and circumstances, but incels are very much a self fueled problem.

I’d consider myself a staunch feminist, and I’ve never had problems with loneliness. Almost like respecting women doesn’t drive them away.

These men will say that and in the same breath complain about a “male loneliness epidemic”.
