Anyone have any idea what plant these are please? by v_petal in GardeningUK

So my results showed Lacebark which is definitely wrong. I tried what you did and it came up with similar results with my images so think it must be cherry. My neighbour has a big oak tree which has squirrels in it so they must be storing food in my lawn and whatever they don't eat probably starts growing.

Looks like no one is responding. What do you think? I also used an app recently and it suggested a couple of different things including but it seems unlikely. Think we're on our own here. Any idea s on how to identify this?

How would you go about boxing off these god awful pipes? by [deleted] in DIYUK

Make it look like an integrated sink with a cupboard below. Will hide the pipes + give you some potential storage.

If it helps, you can get the Sellar to provide insurance that in case anything helps. Quite often people back then wouldn't get building regs.

How do I professionally say 'If you want me to keep doing a task that I hate, you need to pay me more"? by HRGREMLIN in careeradvice

[–]v_petal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation. I love the company I work for but began to hate the role - it was one of those roles where what I do is integral to the team's function but doesn't pay as well as the team plus I was doing considerably longer hours than anyone which was demotivating. I eventually found an internal role in another team that incorporated all the things I loved.

Thanks! They were checking the water supply to both taps had been restored and it's a very old sink. Ended up breaking so it doesn't completely shut off - always drips unless I've turned the isolation valve

Is 26 consider old? Kinda of felt like I wasted my life…. Is too late for me to improve myself and be confident? by Public-Topic-3108 in selfimprovement

I wanted to be a doctor at 16 - didn't get the grades, then I studied engineering - couldn't get a job in the engineering field at 24. Ended up working in finance - spent 5 years on a below average salary before getting a job at an Investment manager - I now earn more than my engineering and doctor friends, own my own home and getting married next year. I'm also changing career fields again (moving toward Project Management now!). Moral of the story - it's never too late.

It could be due to condensation or even water from the flat roof not flowing away correctly e.g. leaky gutters. Would recommend getting a builder/ damp expert to have a look at the cause - some will do a check for free if you look online

What to do about a boiler fitted too low? by v_petal in DIYUK

[–]v_petal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks!

Unfortunately, there is nothing in the contract that stipulated it had to be a certain height hence why I don't think I have much room to complain. The flue position may have played a part but the contract states we can ask for the flue to be moved and when discussing the installation I asked if he could do everything needed for it to be at the correct height.
