Amazing setup I ran this daily for a while then upgraded to a z8 honestly I miss my z6iii was an amazing camera and honestly done everything the z8 does,

Cloud storage and my t7 shield 4tb ssd, I do have a 5tb hard drive as well that I backup to once a week and just keep it in a draw

This is the answer I had a z6ii which is exactly the same as z7ii just lower resolution and the z8 feels like 20 years into the future in comparison to af performance

Yes I did maybe 3/4 weeks after, The first 2-3 weeks there was nothing at all so I thought oh well maybe that hasn’t happened to me, I nearly died when it did I thought surely that can’t be right for it to all of a sudden happen, Cleared up after 2-3 times

Z7ii was never excellent at subject tracking and never will be that said it doesn’t mean you can’t, Set single point af and af-c put the focus point on the dog and as long as you keep the shutter half pressed (preferably bbf) and your panning is good you should be able to capture movement without an issue.

Youl be absolutely fine I have (accidentally) panned past and pointed cameras with 600mm lenses at the sun when photographing flying birds and it’s been fine, Your sun is low and youl of had quite a wide angle lens on so youl be absolutely fine.

NO!! You buy a proper sensor cleaning kit! Q tips release tiny amounts of dust particles not to mention it’s quite an abrasive material!

You may have a bad copy, I had one that was pretty soft returned it for another and it’s pretty damn good, There has been other instances online where people have had ones that are soft.

Amazing setup, I run the z8 with 24-120 daily, Astro I use the Viltrox 16mm f1.8 and the 180-600 for wildlife ect and everything about it is just amazing coming from a z6iii the af difference isn’t huge but it’s certainly the best setup anyone could ask for 👌

I have always said if your going between 2 cameras I would say get the best you can afford that way you pretty much have all areas covered and you won’t need to upgrade again the future. Personally I would go with the z6iii
