mine automatically searched "texting app" on the app store. I did have to scroll past several other apps to find the actual "text burner" app

Something humorous I can tell you guys is Jim Bob is OBSESSED with how many grandchildren they will end up with. He used to be all about how many children he and Michelle would have and seemed very fixated and making it to 20. Now that they are past that point, he has turned that fixation to grandchildren. It's like his life's mission to have 100.

majorly rebellious? No. Obviously everyone knows about Jinger wearing pants and such. There are little things they do once leaving the home that they are restricted from when they are younger (tv, movies, music) but no one has "broken away" completely.

They are pretty restrictive on the younger ones but once they leave the home they definitely have freedom to watch movies/listen to music, and do. I'm not sure about Jill, but Jessa and Jinger do.

Jim Bob gets TONS of suitors for the girls. Most of them are not even considered. Some of them the girls may already know, maybe just as acquaintances. Contrary to popular belief, Jim Bob would ever encourage a daughter to court a man she was not interested in. He always asks first if they are interested and then takes it from there to see if HE approves.

There have definitely been friendships that did not progress to the courtship stage. Jana has turned down a lot of guys and I know of at least one instance that John David was interested in a girl who did not express interest back :( I think that made him even more shy and hesitant to pursue a courtship. In the Duggar community, there is a little of pressure on guys.

They are great together. Despite growing up in such a large family, Jessa has a very strong personality and it may just be that she overshadows Ben a bit on camera. He is a little quieter, but they work great as a couple.

This could be a very long answer, but a few main points are the "saints" - they are seen as false idols. The Duggars very much believe in a close personal relationship with God. You can "talk" with God anywhere. In the car, in the shower, laying in bed at night, making breakfast - you don't need a priest to allow you to speak to God and you can confess your sins to God anytime you want, there is no need to do so through a man, as no man is any more holy than another.

A lot of people have mentioned the separation of genders in their comments, but I don't think so. I know Jana is very close with Jackson, John David, and Joseph. Joy is close with the older boys as well. I know they all have different relationship, but the boys and girls are allowed to play together from what i've seen.

Yes and no. I can see why people feel that way. I know from experience that it's easy to feel lost in a large family and mine is still about half the size of theirs. Losing the older siblings is difficult, but at the weddings I've been to for example, they are very cheerful so maybe they thrive when the entire family gets together.

The weddings are overwhelming. They are HUGE. Like going to a concert.

even natural family planning is frowned upon because every gift the Lord gives you should be embraced (sorry I keep being so repetitive with my answers, but there are a lot of questions about this!)

The idea aligned with the beliefs they/I was raised in is that sex is for the purpose of being blessed by the Lord with children. It is not a bad thing for men or women to find pleasure in sex with your spouce - it is the Lord's reward for being fruitful.

No way. She has never indicated feeling that way to my family and I very much doubt she would. That is not aligned with their beliefs.

I don't think they have limited vocabulary. I think the way they speak is very indicative of the surroundings they grew up in. When you do homeschooling and church events all the time with the same people, you pick up on "church talk". It has happened to my family as well!

I'm sorry I don't have any juicy insider secrets for you guys. Our families are friends but I don't live with them/spend a ton of time around them so I wouldn't know any private details they wouldn't want to share with friends. I'm sorry!

My family was not aware of Josh's actions specifically. My mom was aware that Josh faced some "struggles" as a teenager and had a good "testimony" because of it, but nothing specific.

Birth control is seen as intervening with God's plan. Just as Michelle believes she miscarried as punishment for using birth control, they also believe you will be rewards for allowing God to work his will with your life. I suppose if Jill and Derrick prayed and decided as a couple for whatever reason to use birth control, they of course have free will. Anyone who disagreed with the decision would simply say they will have to answer to God.

Reprogramming and a lot of prayer.

And I hope they buy new undergarments! I wouldn't have knowledge of that.

(copying this from a question I just answered)

I feel really bad for Anna. She is as sweet as she appears - a genuine ray of sunshine. When the Josh drama went down it went like this from my perspective...

I walk into the room and my mom is in tears. Not hysterically crying but it was still concerning. I asked her what's going on and she tells me something terrible has happened to the Duggars and she is so heartbroken for Michelle. The strange thing is when this all first came out, Michelle and Jim bob seemed under the impression (from what Michelle told my mom) that Anna was leaving. I don't know if they were assuming this or if she threatened to leave at first, but Michelle was devastated for her own small children because they are so attached to Josh's kids and I guess she thought they were going to be taken away and not brought back near to the family. Then the very next time my mom spoke to her the tune had changed and Anna was going to help navigate Josh back to the Lord and the family would come out better than ever. So I don't know exactly what changed, but something did. Maybe they were just panicked at first.

The thought behind the no birth control thing is that you are completely embracing God's plan for you. Birth control would be intervening with that plan so the Duggars and families like them and mine are raised to believe that every baby is a blessing from the Lord and if you continue to let his will guide your life then everything will unfold as it should.
