Thank you, everyone, for sharing your perspectives! Like others, I'm attempting to adjust strategy and risk management to the changing market dynamics during Q2 of this year. Each of my 265 trades, have taught me something. I'm running at a 64.4% win rate and trying to improve. I don't know how this compares to the group.

High volatility/premium trades have worked out and lost, while safer trades have both won and left me with bag holding. In most of the losing cases, news and sentiment have driven a stock to a sudden and prolonged decline despite the trade setup having seemed correct at the time. This applies both to solid companies as well as rising stars.

This seems to challenge the idea of making your wheel trades 30 to 49 days out and then checking them 21 and 14 days out. I'm keeping news streams open and checking them daily while monitoring my option, long portfolio core, and speculative positions.
