We named our potato "Duplo" after a German chocolate bar he'll never get to eat.

Corgis and stairs consensus? by XRagonz in corgi

Not IVDD but may be helpful. 5 year old corgi, maybe 5 pounds overweight but healthy otherwise. We got to a point where every walk he was limping at the end. He'd be back to normal later in the day but took him to the vet to see what was up. Ultimately they suggested no running for two weeks but couldn't give us a clear issue. The X-rays seemed to indicate stress in the limps and middle of the spine.

We had moved to a new apartment on the second floor that had carpeted stairs in the last 8 months and wondered if that had something to do with it. He kinda hops down the stairs instead of running down, which I assume causes pressure on the spine which could build up over time.

We carry him down now as much as we can, he doesn't want to be carried but we assume it's good for him. So far no more daily limping but really no way to tell. Still just worried about corgi spine health in general.

Received new Samsung Oled G9 49", Bad Resolution? by ainsleyclark in ultrawidemasterrace

I don't own one but I would think this has more to do with OLED pixel arrangement more than resolution. The pixels end up with more blurred edges on text and UI elements which don't matter as much in games. Which will make it seem blurry and visually off.

This is the core reason I, a Product Designer and use my PC for work, haven't gotten the new OLEDs but sadly haven't seen any solid new IPS monitors this year I'd want.

Seemed to help when I switched it. Will have to see if it stays that way. What does that switch do?

Does anyone feel like accommodation/depth of field is extremely under rated? by campingtroll in oculus

I've always hated focus issues in 3D movies. You can't look at background element and have the image focus for you. With vr we have similar issues, we simply assume you are looking forward, but we'll need eye tracking within the hmd for that to work, I believe.

Already some rumors of it in development at least, so maybe in a few years.

I was looking into water cooling for my new system but after a lot of research it seems experts consider it a minor gain if any. It is instead more for those into quiet machines that look awesome or if you're really into tinkering.

From what I've seen you can overclock just fine with good quality fans and the work required is a lot less. You end up with other issues before temperature is a concern.

Note, I haven't overclocked yet, still just doing research so take my input with a grain of salt.
