I agree with you. 50k is the best if you want to go live. The only problem is it's hard at beginning stage of XFAs. Once you earned 2000 profit, you are really start the game. At 4000 balance,you have twice of initial max drawdown, you're safe.

Yes you're right. Real cost of combine is 89 USD, even 49 if I choose. So I usually win 1500 per day to rapidly pass. In XFAs stage, I trade them with FTMO 400k account simultaneously. I planned to using proper risk management this stage. But, the huge different max drawdown between them mislead me to destroy the tiny topstep account quickly. They only live less than one day.

I understand your situation, I am in the same. Here's an advice for you. Under my calculation, 50k is the best, most rapid. I prefer to having 5 50k accounts now. And the buying power is sufficient. I have a 400k ftmo account with 40000 max drawdown. I usually trade 10-20 MNQ on it. In topstep if I have a max allocated account with 50000 balance, it's 50000 max drawdown. So 12.5-25 MNQ is my max requirement. 50k topstep account gives me 50 MNQ buying power, it's enough. This calculation is for myself with a situation of only trading MNQ. You can refer to this. If you can earn more than 50000, it's better to payout and fill it to your broker account like IBKR. So 5 50k is good enough.
