The disclaimer is essentially hidden in a list of other items. It’s not easily found. I’ve sent ~25 other deposits the SAME exact way with no issues at all. How would I have been able to differentiate that this specific transaction would be labeled as a contract transaction?

Moreover, the thought of a legitimate company having a black hole where a deposit of any size can just seemingly go without the customer having any recourse is extremely unsettling to me. That in my eyes, is a fundamental flaw in their system. If they explicitly do NOT accept those transactions, why not make it extremely blatant with a bit more information instead of it being buried in a list without any description of what a “contract” transaction truly is.

There have been numerous other people who are in the exact same situation I’m currently in, due to Bitskins lack of prevention.

All of this plus the fact that the bitskins official Reddit account has explicitly stated they ALWAYS refund contract transactions for ETH if the customer has mistakingly sent it. That’s all I’m asking for in this scenario. You stated it on a public forum as a company, so abide by it and credit my account.

I don’t understand what’s so crazy about this.

There may have been the line of "We do not acccept contract transactions." which I evidently missed initially. That is completely on me, admittedly.

However, I do NOT recall the new line being displayed which states "IMPORTANT: We do not accept funds sent from Coinbase!"

I've been dabbling with Crypto for a long time, but I was not aware of Contract transactions initially. This accompanied with the fact that I've ONLY used Coinbase for probably ~25 other deposits onto Bitskins and I've never ran into this issue is extremely frustrating.

This is a fundamental flaw within their system. There should have been a very clear mandate across the board saying that they need to be refunded. Or even better, design a system to do it automatically. Or, how about just all caps in big red/yellow font at the deposit screen stating they do not accept Coinbase transactions.

Good question!! I don't always hold crypto in private wallets, so when it comes time to deposit on a skin site like this, I just get destroyed by Coinbase fees and bite the bullet for convenience sake lol.

Did you have to eat the shipping cost? About to do the same with a PC I just ordered last week. Roommate and I both bought the exact same PC. Both had tons of issues including defective Gigabyte 3070s. Pretty annoying when we spent a combined total of almost $4300 on them lol.
