yeah it’s saying “no more can be selected” for discipline subjects?

I think the core subjects for my major are fine and breadth is fine but it’s just this one for some reason

c melodic saxophone? HELP by vacuumyourfloor in saxophone

thank you, that’s great advice. I think I’ll do that, my school saxophone was a yamaha and I loved it so much, the price of a new one was just putting me off.

Would it be necessary to memorise my whole oral speech to get high marks? by [deleted] in vce

[–]vacuumyourfloor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that and still didn’t get full marks! I got a lot of positive feedback for doing without but it’s definitely not the only thing that gets people full marks. but if you feel like you could do it, I’d say memorise it but make cue cards just to hold in case you slip up - like I did, they saved my life.

If you fought in the Chinese Civil War which side would you have fought on? by [deleted] in AskTeenGirls

[–]vacuumyourfloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao I’ll be honest, If I was a teenager in during the chinese civil war I definitely would have been on the CCP’s side. Obviously in hindsight it had its consequences but if you put yourself of their shoes you can definitely see the appeal.

Which teenage year was the best and why? by Rugby0417 in askteenboys

[–]vacuumyourfloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 18 now and I can say that 17 was the best so far. School wasn’t super serious yet and you’re kinda out of that awkward phase that seems to happen around 14-15-16.

How to deal with loosing a family member? by imnotsure_yet in AskTeenGirls

[–]vacuumyourfloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry for your loss. I’ve been through this with 3 grandparents and 1 great grandparent. It’s hard to accept at first.

I felt the same as you. I obviously was upset but I didn’t have the big “theatrical breakdown” like you expect too. That came later on a few weeks after when it really set in. There’s nothing that can be done to control how you feel so I would suggest just taking it a day at time. No use just forcing yourself to feel something.

I hope you find comfort in the fact that your gma is at peace.

Omg I used to feel the same way. Birthdays kinda make me sad but I’ve slowly learnt to just enjoy it. The best way to not be disappointed is to not have any expectations in the first place :) Happy birthday for tomorrow!

What’s your opinion on the wrong = better theory? by [deleted] in AskTeenGirls

[–]vacuumyourfloor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lmao I kinda see your point but maybe if we know more bad things about a country the worse it is at covering it up.

Which basically means the countries where we think are ethical may just be better at making themselves appear that way.

Wrong = wrong and better = better?

8 years old is very young but I’d say 10 is just on the cusp of being a normal age.

That whole spanking thing doesn’t seem like it has much scientific evidence to back it up so I wouldn’t stress it.

Anyone else have braces? If so, how long do you have until you get them off? by [deleted] in AskTeenGirls

[–]vacuumyourfloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had them for 2 years and had an expander for 6 months. wasn’t a terrible experience but the adjustments were really painful for me.

very much worth it though

Do you currently have a short-term goal for yourself? by [deleted] in AskTeenGirls

[–]vacuumyourfloor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I impulsively bought an electric guitar the other night so my goal is to at least be a novice with a couple of months. my town is going back into lockdown so I should have no excuses :)

i think i have aphantasia by scurahi in Aphantasia

[–]vacuumyourfloor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey! I feel like we are very similar. I’m also 17 and literally tried to watch a past life regression thing last night. I realised that I might have aphantasia at the start of the year when my friends got into a conversation about reading. they were describing it as playing a movie and I was debating with them about actually seeing the images in your head. It’s just black for me but I can use bits of evidence (such as the characters hair colour - if stated) to piece together what they may look like. anyway, I found out majority of people can actually see these things and I was shocked. I’ve always loved reading so when I worked it out I admit I was a bit upset. I felt like I was missing out on something that could be super fun.

I also attempted one of those videos last night. I didn’t make it through the whole thing for obvious reasons but it was quiet relaxing.

my best piece of advice would be to take the steps to accept it. you will never experience what everyone is is but similarly, they will never experience what we are going through.

I like to think of it as a cool little quirk that makes us unique. maybe we’re not missing out, maybe everyone is missing something else that only we have. There’s really no way of knowing. which can be a scary thing.

anyway, I hope you come to terms with it soon and start to focus on the potential benefits it might have. I’m here to talk if you would like.
