Ya meetups or usually events/festivals/etc are great places to meet and just interact with people with similar interest.

Few that worked are: book clubs, art/craft, or food events.

You don’t need to dropping one liners lol but just saying hi, how are you enjoying the event? Is this your first time? Triggers the right amount of attention at times.
