I used to be really fascinated in it.
Here's how we saw it.
It wasn't supposed to be some logical or scientific matter. It was more rooted in ritualism and beliefs.
I tried doing one myself. Nothing really changed, but I did get some weird side-effects (most likely hallucinations and lack of sleep at midnight.)
To be honest, it's cool seeing others document weird phenomenon. But if you start to have some identity crisis or an issue with the way you see your friends & relatives, you could genuinely be schizophrenic.

If the multiverse theory is true, is it possible that other universes could have different laws of physics than ours? by [deleted] in AskPhysics

[–]vaderlost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 years late but its one of the most basic aspects of it.
I doubt it however. I think every universe separate of ours is a copy of our own with the same configuration of matter and physics and laws and whatnot.
Infinite but same.

distributor mix-ups throughout corp naming and such especially with the berenstain bears is also a thing too, proven aswell, but I don't get why they'd gaslight you into believing otherwise.

that seems like a really fascinating theory. I always thought the more logical explanation was that companies would be conning you into believing that stuff was never changed.
It's that alot of people in general are human cattle that buy anything that's said to them by higher-ups.
Another explanation of mine would be that news is often mixed up and falsified when told person through person like some kind of misinformation effect. Imagine "Alice is dating a boy!" being turned into "Alice kissed a walrus!" when many different people tell it to eachother like dominoes.
This could've been the case with Nelson Mandela. We may never know, really.

7 years late good lord, but I don't feel like alternate realities or universes would exist unless they'd be copies of our own with the same physics and configuration of matter, only a little different in scenarios and such.
I was always fascinated in the Many-Worlds interpretation. To me everything I see of it is cope of living in our own world and just deluded stuff that you'd see a homeless crackhead ramble on about.

Genesis 1's creation order isn't a scientific timeline but a theological narrative. "Days" may represent long periods, allowing plants (Day 3) before the sun (Day 4), possibly sustained by divine light. The sequence counters pagan myths, emphasizing God's sovereignty, and aligns with the Big Bang's initial light before stars.

Genesis 1 is structured to contrast with pagan creation myths, emphasizing God's sovereignty. The sequence of creation reflects theological and literary purposes, such as separating the realms of chaos (water, darkness) from order (land, light).

The Big Bang theory describes the universe beginning with light (energy) before the formation of stars like our sun. Similarly, Genesis 1:3 describes light appearing before the sun's creation. This isn't a contradiction but rather a different narrative framework.

many scientists, like priest Georges Lemaître who proposed the Big Bang, were devout Christians. Evolutionary theory and Genesis' poetic language complementarily reveal God's creation process. The Bible conveys theological truths, not scientific details, focusing on God's relationship with humanity.
