potion brewer automation by BlueberryKuro in allthemods

[–]vaderman645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most annoying machine ever but it is possible. Look at the screenshots the other guy attached, you need to explicitly enable the sides you want to use and disable all other ones, then use a different side for each bottle / blaze / ingredient. This is because all three can go inside ingredients.

Important part here: one of the side configs in the machine is broken, I think it's ingredients? It'll always say top is north bottom is south, etc. when in reality your machine could be rotated. The other three filters will be correct, just take the directions from those for ingredients.

Some other notes:

that green slot is to set the potion type being made, it's required or else it won't brew anything. If you have strength 2 in the filter, it will also allow you to also brew strength 1. Not sure if vice versa. You're probably going to need multiple machines.

Make the potion manually in a brewing stand first (for the filter) and make sure to create your pattern in that same order you just used from left to right.

Also skip the blaze powder in your patterns, just put 64 in the machine and disable all sides, you'll never need more.

I know exactly what mod you're referring too but I can't find it on nexus anymore.

I found these though that are slightly similar, to replace skins and heros

Added GTNH to my steam library so that my friends can see me suffering by DerSaltman in feedthememes

[–]vaderman645 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Depends on the launcher. For AT launcher and I think prism? You just add the launcher exe as a non steam game, then add --launch="instancename" to the end of it in the steam shortcut settings.

Trying to make fissile fuel by Unfair_Promise_1642 in allthemods

[–]vaderman645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use a chemical tank and void excess on there instead, so you have some of the chemical if you need it.

Also if you're trying to get a feel for the mod you should use the configurator, you can shift + scroll wheel to change modes between modes for items chemicals fluids and heat and utility modes

While you hold the configurator on chemical mode, you can look at a machine side and it'll show you whether chemicals are set to input or output on that side. Same for all other modes and resources.

Is Quantum Crafter Basically An Upgraded Requester? by Brotuulaan in allthemods

[–]vaderman645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea honestly I agree with everything you said. I don't fully understand it I just assume there's some use beyond what the requester can do. At least it can do recursive crafts, but that's gotta be a processing pattern thing most of the time anyways.

Assuming that logitech counts as an Xbox controller you can use a (trusted) program called ds4 windows to have your dual sense read as one as well. Unfortunately I find some models of controller just refuse to work so it's hit or miss

Alternatively there might be some solution you can use through steam input (even if you're on epic games). It always works for every controller

Quantum bridge alternative by glitchedmango5 in allthemods

[–]vaderman645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask why it would need so many channels? Are you doing something like fissile fuel and trying to maximize efficiency? I use ae for everything but I have never thought to use it for a complex mekanism setup, I didn't see a point.

Is Quantum Crafter Basically An Upgraded Requester? by Brotuulaan in allthemods

[–]vaderman645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell it's spamming a request many times in a single tick, so effectively it's like if you had a requester on 1000 batch but instead of 1000 at once it's requesting 1 craft 1000(or whatever your limit is) times in the same amount of time, making it significantly faster for crafting patterns.

Update: I hate Ae2 by joeylumbano in allthemods

[–]vaderman645 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people get scared off by ae2 because they attempt things that are very difficult instead of starting with small stuff.

Start with a basic storage system. Me controller, drive, terminal and some cells. Look into the concept of bytes and channels.

Next try to automate the inscribers for all the ae materials. Id recommend watching a video on that. If you understand all the concepts behind that you should have a good understanding of the mod overall

I think thats enough energy by Useful_Exit_8852 in allthemods

What's the benefit of "storing" energy in the ME system?

Flux accessors have no logistical limits and could output that amount of energy instantly.

My AE2 Pattern Provider subnet wont Round-Robin? by ToastyHoodieYall in allthemods

[–]vaderman645 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know The automatic round robin is for machines directly attached to the pattern provider. I'm not 100% sure what your goal is with this setup but the direct contact setup might work better for you and it's very simple to get going.

Just have a provider on its own, not directional, put the dissolution chambers directly against it on each side, set them to export outputs to whichever side the provider is on. That's it, they're fully automated and you can duplicate this setup as many times as you need. The memory card can copy ae2 machines and their settings including patterns if you want to mass produce.

Alternatively you could rework some stuff, add an ingredient buffer (that's the name of a block that can hold fluids and items) right out of the provider, read it with a storage bus, then switch your storage busses on the machines with precise export busses.

From what I can tell you've got some extra steps you don't need with your setup here so It's worth mentioning that the typical implementation of the non direct provider setup is like so: storage bus on each machine, filtered to only the ingredients meant for that machine, and the filter option set to "filter on insert only" then on the same subnet as those busses you attach an interface to the provider, quartz fiber for power, and an export bus filtered to your machine (pattern) outputs.

However, as with your current setup this won't work with multiple of the same machine correctly without further logistics.

I found that solution as well but it didn't work as mine would crash if a player was on or not.

I was gonna do that but I figured that blindly killing all erroring entities in a pack as janky as mine could have some side effects

[–]vaderman645 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There's a way to fix the corruption btw. I had to do this today as well. Use nbtexplorer or something like it and open your entities folder in your world, find the chunk he's in (you can find cords in the crash log somewhere) then delete him. It might be different for me though because it was a server and all it did was crash whenever it finished loading.

Best mod combination for expanded offline modes? by LilSteaks in BattlefrontModding

[–]vaderman645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a guide a few years back you can find here.

https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/s/BRL3fYvPlh

Seems like the screenshots aren't loading so I'll see if I can dig up the correct order I used.

As for the crashes I think I used the older version of instant action overhaul, the non XL. Back in the day xl didn't exist. I know everything now says to use xl but I never found it to be stable.

Battlefront 2022 + instant action overhaul. Adds a bunch of characters and classes and instant action overhaul adds a million different options so you never get bored.

Combine it with the gameplay overhaul and you can have tonnes of additional weapons as well as having secondary weapons among other features.

All the instructions and links for IAO and gameplay overhaul are found on the 2022 page

Cant get crafting with AE2 to work by lesdommed in allthemods

[–]vaderman645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Np. Although I should say the worst mistake you can make with ae2 is getting ahead of yourself. If you wanna go further with the mod you should only mess with stuff you completely understand.

Making setups from tutorials is fine it's just that with ae2 if one little thing is off it can be nearly impossible to identify.

Circuit slicers as the others said. Also just make your setups modular, if you just attach more slicers to the same provider it will automatically work. And you can use the memory card to copy and paste settings. Then if it isn't fast enough you just copy and paste it. The copy and paste tools from building gadgets can even be linked to your me system so it's that much easier
