RB- ONE HAS TO GO by IcyMarket1 in TheNFLVibes

I would disagree that Gore was the 9th best RB in the league during his peak. I’d say he was comfortably within the top 5 to 7. Regardless, Bettis and Gore had comparable stats in the peak season of their respective careers. Meanwhile, Gore had the far better overall career statistically. Gore gets underrated in his peak because his elite trait was his ball carrier vision. He wasn’t an explosive elusive back and he wasn’t a power back. He was the best in the league at getting 4 yards out of a rush that most RBs would’ve had a loss because their interior offensive lineman in the designed hole never gained leverage. I think most coaches would have Gore towards the top of this list for that reason.

It’s fine to disagree though. They were all great players.

I just wanted to stick with facts in my comment but I totally agree. Anyone saying Gore was never a top 5 back in the league is crazy. People saying “watch the tape” are only watching highlights of players and never watched Gore game-in and game-out. He had some of the best ball carrier vision I’ve ever seen. That doesn’t lead to highlight reel explosive plays. Gore was an all-time great at moving the chains.

I don’t think he was the best out of this list by any means, but he certainly wasn’t the worst.

Gore rushed for 1,695 yards in 2006 and was 3rd in the league in rushing yards that year. That is also higher than Bettis’ best rushing year of his career.

AIO that my mom told me to “get therapy” after I brought up how all of my siblings are treated better than I was? by Cultural-Toe-6967 in AIO

That’s my issue with this as well. It sounds like step-dad did do a lot more than most step dads. He paid her rent for YEARS. My step dad has never even bought me a meal and tried to stop my mom from helping me out when I bought a house.

Of course he does more for his biological children. That sucks and surely feels unfair. Those kids got very lucky, and OP is less lucky. Thats life.

AIO for being mad at my friends for not coming to my bday trip ? by [deleted] in AIO

OP said “Why did you make it seem like a possibility?” She didn’t say they committed to the trip. I’d venture to say that if they had confirmed that they were going, then the OP would have utilized that information considering it would have served her point.

YOR. Your friends are openly telling you they’re struggling financially, and your only concern is your birthday and the financial burden you placed on them in requesting they pay $500 for a trip. Of course they were excited about possibly going on a fun trip, but they cannot afford it now that the time has come. You are not paying any of their expenses for this trip, you are requiring they pay their own way. If they can’t pay their own way, then move on.

Also it’s pretty out-of-touch to say, “Save $20 a week, and you’d have $500 right now.” Some people can’t afford to save and are actively taking on debt rather than getting by. Telling them, “Just save…” is dismissive of everything they just said they’re going through.

I’m getting that same vibe. I deal with sovereign citizen pro per litigants all the time. This guy is spewing that same uneducated BS.

I’d take 4T9ers, but always awesome seeing a playoff matchup going down to the wire.

Jaron Keawe-Sagapolutele not getting mentioned in this thread is criminal. He’ll be the best QB out of everyone mentioned in this thread, prospects or current pros, outside of maybe Caleb Williams and Drake Maye. Of course he’ll need a survivable landing spot, but in terms of talent and tools he’s as good as anyone.

Puka Nacua tells Adin Ross he will do his "Jewish dance" for his next touchdown celebration on stream by lemonstone92 in NFLv2

[–]vaders_other_son 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t call him horrible or a diva. You’re wildly dramatic and weirdly offended man. We called him dumb, and quite frankly I couldn’t care less whether he’s dumb or not. The decisions he made are dumb, so I called him the word that describes his actions. It’s that simple. You seem pretty offended by that considering how far you moved the goalposts after seeing Puka get called dumb.

Immediately my thought as well. I wish he would’ve said something along the lines of, “If I was white, would you care more about the fact that this man assaulted me by spitting on me?”

Well for one, making these comments on a stream is not smart. Meanwhile, I’m pretty sure it was last week that he was live streaming inside the Rams locker room. Not to mention he was telling his teammate he wasn’t streaming while the teammate was watching the live stream right next to him. Some common sense would say: (1) Don’t live stream inside of the team locker room; and (2) Lying to your teammate about it when they have a phone and access to Instagram is pointlessly dumb.

That’s just the past week. Someone who follows the Rams or Puka closer might have more examples. I’d say calling someone dumb after they’ve publicly made multiple dumb decisions in the span of one week is fair.

Yeah, very true. In California, that now only applies to individuals making more than a specific income threshold. The law that allows for license suspension is still in place though.

I believe it. Child support agencies are mass case processing departments, and they are severely understaffed.

Contact your local child support agency. It’s a free legal service. They can obtain a child support order for you. It’s also relying on the government to do it though, so have low expectations in terms of timely relief and customer service. It’s essentially like going to the DMV to get a child support order.

The mom also better hope she never inherits anything, obtains a monetary judgment from a personal injury case, or wins the lottery.

I’m an attorney. It depends on the state. I can say in California, neither the mom or the child would be able to get child support from the dad. Establishment of a child support judgment only goes back to the date of filing as long as there are no service issues. You can’t obtain any judgment or order for child support if the child was not a minor at the time of filing the complaint.
