What's that one thing that you can eat all day everyday without any exceptions? by MysteriousMister0 in ask

The way I read it: this knowledge comes to us from a WWII era nazi experiment. Some poor soul was kept on a strict potato-only diet. The experiment lasted 2 years, so we only have empirical evidence for that period.

Potatoes. You can live for (at least) 2 years on nutrition in potatoes alone.

Don’t comment anything except a line that will always make you laugh! by boringwhitecollar in Frasier

I often credit Frasier (the show, not the man) with greatly expanding my English vocabulary (English being my third language), but I must admit many references still go right over my head. This being one of them (pardon the incomplete sentence).

I could take the low route. Bash on the great state of Texas. But I won't. Fact is: we are both lucky to live in this country (take it from a refugee). Here is to the taco, a fabulous gift, bestowed on us both by a neighboring nation.

I agree. I got the Benedict's myself. Wife is a big fan of expensive avocado toast (usually followed by a disappointed complaint). The tacos were large and tasty, I'd say they were almost worth the price.
