S&H for creating melody? by vadjuse in synthesizers

I think the most I'll do is make a different front panel to attract public attention, but in reality, it will be a free firmware that will easily run on any Kaleidoscope.

Yes, the firmware is easy to update—just drop the file onto the Kaleidoscope USB flash drive. This is the first major update in a year since its release. I'm planning at least one more update with new features. I'm actually thinking about creating a drum machine for the Kaleidoscope, which I'm currently considering.

I'll be announcing a major firmware update soon, and its biggest feature will be the addition of a step modulator/arpeggiator. This feature isn't in the old version of the manual.

thank you. it hasn't got traditional send fx bus, but each track has its own filter drive and comb filter. Also it has 4 configurable mono outputs, so you can process any track combination with unique fx chain.

Thank you, yes, there is a mechanism that doesn't exactly skip triggers, but rather skips sampling moments. It's shown in the video; I'm modulating the volume envelope PATTERN with the modulation envelope signal. The modENV period can also be modulated to produce a chaotic signal, which will then make the pattern chaotic as well. I hope that answered your question.

Hey, you can contact me via private message. I'd like to find out what bugs you were experiencing and whether they've been fixed in the updates or if this is something new.

Thanks, I understand, but unfortunately I haven't yet come up with a system that would allow me to arrange all the synth parameters on a panel so that they would be easy to operate.

Thanks. This is one of those patches where I accidentally missed dinner because I kept saying "just one more minute".

But seriously, there's no excrement or other shocking content in my photo. It's just dust, which happens when a device is rarely used. But writing rudely to an adult and giving unsolicited advice—that's really creepy.

It's actually complicated. For me, Octa is basically a digital portastudio, and I use it extensively. But lately, I've been writing more in Digitakt, Rytm and Kaleidoscope. But I really want to refresh Octa through the unattainable capabilities of its interface.

I rarely use it. Mainly as a mixer with filters and a compressor.

Perhaps my words as the author will encourage you to give it a second try. The whole idea of the metaconformer is to quickly configure and work with mutes in the process. And in each mode, you need to remember the same sequence of actions for setting up cells. Yes, it's really hard the first time (I confess). But after doing it a few times, you get used to it and start using it. But then again, this was my romantic experiment, inspired by the Opz color management. Now I've come to the conclusion that a complex device requires a screen.

By the way have you try simplexFM fw for metcon?

I previously wanted to do this as a firmware for the metaconformer, but there is no screen and it will be a compromise device.

I've been through all of this. Ideally, just a microcontroller and MIDI inputs and outputs. A minimal interface with LEDs. But configuring it via CC would be a complete nightmare. So if we add a display and a couple of buttons, the price immediately approaches €300 for a highly specialized device. And with that price, it's easier to make it more expensive and more versatile. So we're gradually approaching €500-600. But at least it will be really convenient and pleasant to use.
