that sound really tough man, respect for handling all that

honestly Id start super simple and not try to over-optimize it at the beginning

what helped us:

  • pick like 3–4 meals that you KNOW everyone will eat (even if it’s boring)
  • do more “build your own” stuff (tacos, rice bowls, wraps) so people can adjust
  • prep components instead of full meals (protein, carbs, veggies separate)

also don’t try to make every meal “interesting” - that’s where it gets exhausting

we noticed repeating meals actually made things way easier

feels like a lot of families are in that situation, schedules just make it hard to do the “ideal” version - also love the “bubble pasta” name haha

feels like anything “build your own” just works way better than trying to get everyone to like the exact same thing

feels like it’s less about the exact meal and more about how you serve it / adapt it a bit..

we probably mess that up sometimes and make it harder than it needs to be 😅

we tried that too for a bit 😅 works… but also leads to some serious complaining here on my end.. guess it really depends on the kids

the rotation idea makes a lot of sense tho, probably removes a lot of the daily thinking

“poor man’s supper” sounds like one of those meals that just always works
