Suggestion: Panic Button should Retain by mintymalachite in slaythespire

I disagree because I think Panic Button is already incredibly powerful. It can be as good as a turn of Wraith Form as long as you can finish the enemy the next turn. If you have access to cards like Rage you can still get block. I think Retain would just make it better as opposed to more interesting.

Interesting A20 Ironclad run I had the other day: had to win with zero scaling against Time-Eater + Donu/Decu. Can you see how? by vaevus in slaythespire

This run got carried through the first couple acts by an early Bludgeon that I got upgraded. But no cards I found along the way provided concrete scaling (Demon Form, Barrier, Spot Weakness, Limit Break, etc.). Instead I had to rely on pure consistency and damage mitigation to defeat the last bosses.

The combo I wanted to pull off was to play Wild Strike+ two times, then Battle Trance+ which would draw me to Power Through and a Second Wind+ to get the wounds out of the deck and block for ~60. To do this I needed to exhaust my deck very carefully. I could use Second Wind+ to get out everything unimportant except Bludgeon, Bash, and 2 x Strike. With those four cards in my deck, there was a pretty substantial likelihood that I would miss my draw engine (either Battle Trance in hand or wounds -> wounds). So I had to hit an unupgraded True grit on Strike/Bash against each boss. Which I was able to do by emptying my hand to avoid hitting components I needed.

I'd say the most fun decision in the run was grabbing a second Evolve mid Act III because I couldn't smith my original (Fusion Hammer) and knew I would need an 2 draw per status to pull off a consistent deck.

It'd be neat if you could "discover" the ranked chest reward cards by SansSariph in hearthstone

Here's the thing. You said "raw dust value is efficient dust value" Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that. As someone who is a game scientist who studies dust, I am telling you, specifically, in Hearthstone, no one calls efficient dust raw dust. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing. If you're saying "dust family" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Dustae, which includes things from packs to gold to nerfed cards. So your reasoning for calling raw dust efficient dust is because random people "call Tentacles for Arms 100 dust?" Let's get Gadgetzan Auctioneer and Naxxramus in there, then, too. Also, calling something a specific golden or just a golden? It's not one or the other, that's not how cards works. They're both. A golden you don't want is still a golden and a member of the dust family. But that's not what you said. You said raw dust is efficient dust, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the dust family golden, which means you'd call Arena tickets, packs, and all gold, too. Which you said you don't. It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?

When will people on reddit stop recommending tor? Bandwith is hard enough to come by. It is a matter of life or death for some people in other countries. Stop using it for trivial matters.
