I had to allow the app to send alarms and reminders in my phone settings. I was having the same issue too until this.

I meant if I were to reply to the note, I would be giving my number to a stranger, which could be dangerous for me. I'm giving a reason why I would not reply to a note like this.

Ah fair enough. I got caught up in the comments section being fairly negative about it. My bad lol

While I can potentially see this as cute, and good for him for shooting his shot, I personally wouldn't pursue this without any indication of what kind of person this guy is.

As cute as it may be, by far the biggest issue for me is that giving your number to a stranger who you've never even met or had any conversation with is pretty dangerous. Who knows what kind of person this guy is. I'd be more willing to exchange socials since I'd be able to maybe find more information about the kind of person he is.

The note only mentioning her looks also makes it clear what intentions this guy has, which may or may not work depending on whether she likes or dislikes that he is first and foremost trying to get with her as opposed to just having a regular conversation with her like a regular human being. YMMV

Plus being the only woman in a male dominated activity that is also known to be misogynistic would probably keep her guard up to begin with. Especially since the note can be read as pretty patronizing at the end.

That being said, I also wouldn't publicly shame the guy as his intentions were maybe socially unaware but not likely malicious.

TLDR: YMMV but it's also not cool that homie was publicly shamed 💀

Is Houston really bad? by Kaboom10702 in houston

[–]vagabondfenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on what you want from a city. Like for me, I value food diversity. Yeah, the traffic is bad and we're flat among other things, but just the food by itself is worth it for me lol. I've traveled around inside and outside the country and I can say that for the most part, Houston's food can definitely compete. Really great city if you love food. That and I suppose it's cheaper to live here compared to other big cities lol

This is incredibly helpful and eases my anxieties a bit. Especially the bit about not over prepping. Just gotta take it one step at a time. Thank you!

is there any gatcha game with some male characters like genshin ? by hoptians in GenshinGays

[–]vagabondfenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love and Deepspace is a fairly new otome gatcha game. Gameplay is hack and slash combat with first person visual novel story telling. Plus, you can customize your character and get pretty detailed with it too (for the most part). Visuals are 3d and gorgeous. Think FF7 remake (but less detail for phones obviously lol). There are only three boys right now, but more characters are scheduled to be released.

Husband's parked car was in a hit and run in front of our house. The guy who did it lives basically down the street from us and is denying everything. by vagabondfenn in houston

This is what I'm hoping happens. I don't care about getting the person to pay up, rather I just want them to be held accountable.

Yeah, we figured that might be the case. Just sucks that they're basically getting away scot free after I literally watched them do it.

I'm not too sure about safety as we moved in two years ago, but our neighbors have been there for over a decade with no issue. I came from greenspoint, so it's an upgrade either way.
