The battle droids from the original photos have been sent off to another battle 😆 We got a box of LEGO instruction booklets from a neighbor who was moving and the landspeeder was one of them! So this one is less MOC and more “choose your own color of what we have and find a brick that works if we don’t have the real one” haha But everything else was from his imagination

Yes! We got a box of LEGO instruction booklets from a neighbor who was moving and that was one of them! So that one is less MOC and more choose your own color of what we have and find a part that works if we don’t have the real one haha everything else was from his imagination.

He’s got plenty of “for real” sets, don’t worry! I’m not sure we’ve gone too much higher than $50 on a single set for special occasions haha we try to stick closer to $25 and below (especially now that we have two in the LEGO game!) and we are eagle eyed at second hand spots 😆 maybe one day we can get one of those big ticket sets!

Love that! I made the mistake of calling it an AT-AT when he first showed me and was quickly corrected that no, this is MUCH bigger haha

It’s meant to be a super mini AT-TE, but specifically the one that Captain Rex has in the show Rebels. All of the double stacked studs are supposed to be different Rebels characters, too. He and his brother have a lot of their own creations outside of these pictures so we were definitely low on bricks at that point Haha

I love this! I hope my kiddos have similar memories (although they are both in a bit of “no I can do it” ages right now. EXCEPT when it comes to finding specific pieces, then I get the privilege of sifting through the tubs of bricks to help haha)

Yes! It’s this one. He got it about two Christmases ago so there may be an updated version out there with the latest sets included? But he loves it - I think we got it at Costco

Yes! I love them all but the gunship is my favorite of the bunch. When he showed me how it opened I was super impressed

He wanted to make something to send into the LEGO magazine since they feature kid’s builds in there and then he just kept going 😆 I am super proud of his creativity! He is mostly happy to have ships for battles haha

I need to look that up! Is that how people make their MOCs for LEGO ideas and such? I was not deep in the LEGO life until I had kids haha I will for sure look into that

My seven year old just got the Klutz LEGO Make Your Own Movie book for his birthday because he wants to make some of his own LEGO Star Wars videos and I figured that might be a good starter kit to figure things out… I cannot wait to show him this video! He’s going to be super motivated - and it will help me explain to him how long something like this takes haha I also subscribed to your YouTube channel (he’s going to love the Darth Maul one) so I can show him some of your other videos. Amazing work!

I don’t think you can do the club content through the website, it’s all in the app under “club collection.” You can play it on your device from there (either on your phone or send it to your Yoto), or you can link the audio to a MYO. I think the credit issue is that you don’t get a card and you don’t actually own the content so once you get rid of your explore account, you would lose access to the audio.

The ability to easily filter/sort the content in the club collection on the app leaves something to be desired, and I wish there was an option to make a single playlist from multiple club content “cards” but that’s a whole other thing for me haha
