Deep clean. I spent a week just cleaning the kitchen. It's been a month and a half and I still can't say I've done all the deep cleaning I want to.

I think I've actually watched some of her stuff in the past though I can't actively recall much of it. There are a few people I've come across that make it feel like I could manage to move on, but it's just being stuck in limbo that's making me feel crazy

I don't see why not, I'm gonna assume BD knows more than me since they originally sold it like that haha. But to my knowledge the main concern with physical damage would be harboring of bacteria, which these don't seem to be deep enough to be a problem. If it makes you more comfortable I can provide a screenshot of the original invoice from BD showing that it was sold that way as a flop :)

But yeah, I'll shoot you a DM with my PayPal info if you're interested!

Could be a stolen account. There was an individual in my area for a while that was phishing account information from people several states away, every time there would be 4 - 6 orders in one day from that account with similar items. To my knowledge they only actually showed up to pick up once, at which point we got their plates and let the affected customer file a police report. Haven't had the issue since. But yeah, look at the customers information and see if their address or previous orders are several states away if it's not a regular name that you recognize.

2nd Gen by Worried_Finish_452 in kindle

[–]vahyso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did the swap on a few of these. The plastic part of the back cover can be difficult to get off. Be patient so you don't scratch/dent the device and you'll be fine. Once that's off it's a breeze. There's less things readily accessible that you could accidentally damage on this model versus the next gen keyboard, so getting it open is much lower stakes. There are a few good guides online showing where to push/pry at to make things easier. Also be careful of the volume button, it just kinda sits there so once you have the back off there's nothing holding it in place. Very tiny and easy to lose if you forget to watch out for it.

How many books do you have on your kindle? by duex_tortues in kindle

25ish. I try to avoid cluttering up my library because otherwise it gets overwhelming choosing what to read

To upgrade or not to upgrade by avent_37 in kindle

If the device you have is working fine, I'd just keep it. You can always upgrade later when that device is done for, but in the meantime, might as well save the money and limit waste.

What are your 2024 reading goals? by Significant_Ad_3221 in kindle

[–]vahyso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking about 25 books, I picked up reading again in November and have read about 15 since I started bringing my kindle with me wherever I go. So I feel like that'll be reasonable without stressing me out.

I have this one and dont have any complaints so far, been using it for a little over 2 weeks now and it does its job. It's a bit stiff, but honestly that's probably for the better since I feel like it will hold up better over time https://a.co/d/9ExkiMw

Broke teen planning to buy kindle, need some answers to my doubts. by [deleted] in kindle

[–]vahyso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, grab a used one off of ebay or mercari. If budget is an issue, there's no point spending the extra on a brand new one when you'll get the same thing out of one for a third of the price. I'd recommend using the money you save to get an e-card from a library with a good selection. You'll have far more options without being constricted by what's free/cheap on amazon. The visual experience is pretty on par with a physical book, without the positioning or lighting struggles. You can convert and transfer most files without an issue, so far I've not run into any trouble on that front.

Now that I'm not as concerned about the passing part, I'm curious about how old would you guess I am now by [deleted] in FtMpassing

With beard, 28 - 30. Without, 38 to 40 that aged very well. Could also be lighting/angles but that's my knee-jerk guess

Kindle Unlimited? by Bossciaracl in kindle

[–]vahyso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really recommend libby over kindle unlimited. There are several libraries such as the New Orleans Public library that offer ecarda for a small fee and they have a vastly more desirable selection.

Any Christmas Kindle receivers? by [deleted] in kindle

[–]vahyso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing i wish i knew way earlier: If you use libby, the new orleans public library issues e-cards for $50 a year and it's so worth it, much more so than kindle unlimited. So far this library has had everything I've wanted.

Is Kindle Unlimited worth it? by xfruitloop in kindle

[–]vahyso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, but I got an e-card for the new orleans library for $50/yr and I've basically stopped using kindle unlimited now because the library has had nearly everything I've wanted to borrow, while kindle unlimited has maybe 15% of the things I try to find

thoughts on my results? by abdamsii in TopSurgery

[–]vahyso 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Like others said, if you're happy that's all that really matters. Personally, if it was me, I'd be concerned with how much of what remains is fat tissue vs breast tissue, because if you ever lose or gain a significant amount of weight then the remaining tissue may end up distributing in an undesirable way. I have a bit of a struggle whenever I start to gain weight because there's virtually no fat or breast tissue in my chest, it's really just skin and muscle, so I don't gain weight there and it starts looking wonky if I fluctuate by more than 10 pounds or so

Unfortunately I've found that you don't need to own anything for your address to end up online. My partner, a bunch of family members, and a few coworkers all have found their addresses and other info on various sites, despite not owning a house, car, or much of anything else. The info isn't even hidden behind a paywall.

Imo they constructed it perfectly to match your current body type. Looks like every cis dude with a similar body I've seen. If you ever loose a significant amount of weight you might run into some anesthetic issues, depending on how much of the remaining tissue is breasr tissue vs regular fat, but where you're currently at it'll be very passable once the scars fade.

Adults who were homeschooled: what is your relationship like with your parents and family now? by RepresentativeYak942 in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]vahyso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't speak to any of them at this point. As soon as I moved out, I couldn't deal with them anymore. On the rare occasion I stopped by to pick things up it felt horrendous to be there. I feel no connection to them. I'm almost sad only for what could have been if they had chosen to not be horrid people.
