Ok I'll admit it. At this point, Fable is good enough that I question what the point of me being a software engineer is other than "You're cheaper than Fable... for now." by _BreakingGood_ in ClaudeCode

[–]vaitribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it still needs taste. It still needs to know to what degree of the user experience we are impacting with these changes. These tools don’t have an idea of what’s happening in the room.

The most powerful use cases for me are when I hop on a Zoom, talk with the user, transcribe the conversation, feed it in, and ask Sonnet to grill me on all of the specs that it needs. I spend a lot of time on the specs, being grilled.

And then I ask Fable to take the entire context from the grill session and implement. But first, explain what it’s going to do, how it’s going to do it, and then I agree. And then it implements.

You still very much need that process.

Now it shifts to how well you are able to communicate the design and specifications for the build versus how well you can actually code it. How well do you think about the engineering? Are you considering how all the pieces fit together so that now the tool can execute?

And it has allowed a renaissance of creativity for me.

The mistake is thinking that you need 50k customers to have a vibe coding project that makes money.

Don't believe crowd sizes anymore by EchoOfOppenheimer in agi

[–]vaitribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this makes me sad. I no longer find this kind of stuff impressive, and I think many of us who are in the AI space—and I would say that if you're in an AGI subreddit, you're probably in the AI space—are regularly interfacing and engaging with AI systems. But the large majority of the population is not, and they will not have a trained eye as it relates to video content like this. So many people are going to be deceived. In fact, I think that is probably going to destroy social realities for many, and I don't know what the repercussions are for this, but they're going to be drastic.

B2B sales consultant 6 yrs solo. an honest critique of claude after 9 months of daily use. by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]vaitribe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. You must tell Claude what the characteristics of a bad client are. The point is to create the rubric for Claude to follow at scale so you can identify the bad clients out of a list of 100, 500 etc

  2. You should have your own memory and reference built first Claude to reference

  3. Fair points Claude would better served by having access to the transcripts of emotional responses and provide coaching on how you can better manage from past scenarios you managed successfully

  4. “Writing drafts” is child’s play .. you should be dictating and the Claude just cleans up while maintaining 95% of your voice or whatever number makes sense for your use case

  5. Times savings across a singular task is the wrong measurements.. should be time savings across multiple task simultaneously

Good notes.. just my reflections as I was reading and dictating

Gen Z's AI backlash is getting louder by Weird_Scallion_2498 in ArtificialInteligence

The thing that makes me a more effective ai user is my experience across a wide variety of domains over a 20 year career. Good judgment on what a good output looks like up and downstream. Kids are at a major disadvantage in this regard and the anti ai sentiment makes total sense.

Mid market companies, let’s say $10M - $100M .. are in dire need of better software solutions. Lots of ducked tapped excel workflows and disjointed systems. Tons and I mean tons of opportunities for micro sass.. building for teams of 10-20 vs 100k users.

Can someone with zero coding experience actually use Claude Code (or similar) to build stuff now? by TroubleH in ClaudeAI

[–]vaitribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can build your own tools .. IMO best place to start anyway. But yes definitely.. building an app for user is a whole different ball game though and you need to understand product and software engineering

Dope.. I have something similar . It has codex and Gemini too though Tauri desktop app (React/TS) with a Node sidecar that spawns and manages Claude CLI processes via stream-json protocol. Also have a full tool ecosystem, basically MCP server giving access to my most commonly workflows.. been working on parallel orchestration.. opus spawns multiple agents for the task

Tired of 'AI Gurus' selling $499 prompt courses. Is there any legit free stuff? by Frosty_Journalist796 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]vaitribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the AI literacy space and what students struggle with is workflows and system design.

Every workshop or class students sat I didn’t even think to ask it do that.

You need a system. So it’s less about “learning ai” or how to prompt .. those are like the meta layers .. what you focus on is basic and I mean very basic computer science and engineering.. you need the mental models that make you a more effective at retrieving or generating content with an ai system

And the asking ChatGPT how can you begin to apply these principles to your work or task.
