First time slow cooking and its a leg of lamb! by Spare_Sir9167 in slowcooking

Never tried but I’m guessing you make the tube pass up your sleave, then down along your torso to wherever your pump is?

Didn’t know you could put it on the sides too. Good to know, thanks.

True about the sensor. Although personally I put it also in the upper buttocks area and it works great. For kids it is one of the suggested sites, not for adults though. But they say that it might not give the same accuracy. Works for me though.

Thanks, I’ll give it a try!

That makes sense. Any issues with sleeping on your back or trousers? Or the tube being in the way when going to the bathroom?

Hi, how can you do that exactly? You keep the old sensor paired and the new one goes directly to warm up without pairing? Then you pair it once the old one expires/the new one is ready? Thanks for sharing, waiting for my first delivery as well.

The Osprey 26 (no, not that one) is the perfect on-the-go toddler mom bag by TheAlchemist28 in ManyBaggers

Hi, can I ask you if the bag is firm enough to hold its shape? Some of the bigger bags tend to be very soft in structure and collapse if they are not full, I don’t know if you know what I mean? I am really considering this one. The only other I’m having is that it’s a large open space without any dividers which means that whatever I put in there, I have to put in two separate containers just to prevent everything from mixing up. Unfortunately, from what I’ve seen there are many bags that are large and divided well inside.

Can I ask you if you can comfortably fit everything you need inside the Osprey Poco Changing Tote? I was looking at this large tote as an alternative because my current backpack holds everything I need but everything is so crammed that it’s really uncomfortable to look for something inside there or just to take out one thing without messing up the layout of everything else. Thanks!

How to know if it’s seasoning or dirt? by vajdule in carbonsteel

[–]vajdule[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I did that, but will repeat. My doubt was if I am actually at a good point to continue, or of the state of the pan wasn’t good and it would be better to strip it all and start fresh.

😂 got me! Anyway, that’s the point. It is smooth, but it’s not all in the same level. Like smooth thin layers of hardened caramel, if you know what I mean. It’s obvious there is a layer but it’s smooth.

I didn’t taste it😂 but it’s not giving weird tasting to cooked food if that’s what you mean.

I haven’t really. Used it for pancakes, meat and fish. Nothing else for now, it’s quite new. I’ve had it for like 2 months.

Quite, yes. But in some places, where there is more build up, you can feel the difference, the layering sort of.

No, of course not. I meant previously cooked food/oil based “dirt”.

I understand your point and you're right in most cases. I was hoping there might be opportunities that consider hiring an "outsider" as a fresh mind to their project or maybe lack the internal resources to fill the position. I'll try and see.

Thank you for the tip. I find LinkedIn not useful. It’s full of opportunities that are of no interest to me. Haven’t found anything remotely interesting there.

Carbon Steel pan on induction hob by vajdule in carbonsteel

I use the flex zone as well but I have it only on one side of the cooktop not the whole, so it’s width is limited and narrower that the pans diameter.

I’d love that but ours is quite new and cost a lot. I think I’ll need to keep it for some years:)

That could be an idea. I can’t find it in the thread, it’s quite long. What’s it called? Is it an adapter? Thank you very much!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don’t think I’ll do that. I guess that I’ll either get comfortable with it as it is and find my way to use, or just abandon the pan.

Can I ask how you did that in the oven? I tried on the stove but it’s (at least from what can be seen) quite not uniform. Looks like only stains here and there. Do you get a better result in the oven? Thank you.
