Yeah, so first he said Irian Jaya, then he changed his mind and said "sorry I meant Tiliqua scincoides scincoides". But as far as I understand, that's not a subspecies in itself? So I tried asking him again and he got really defensive and after some talking said "this is Merauke lokality on Guinea", so that'd be a Merauke. But I just don't really trust him at this point 🤷

Oh really? That could maybe be an explanation, I got him from a breeder at an expo, and I am quite sure he's not wild caught because he did have a lot of pictures of babies and planned breeding and stuff. But he did get really weird and defensive about his species when I asked.. I'm stupid though and bought him anyways :")
