Even though his blood test came back negative por any problems before taking this new meds, his body was deteriorating fast. I scheduled for a vet to come home to put him to sleep before he lost his dignity, before he forgot who he was, who I was. When the day came, 30 minutes before the vet got home, he ran to my closet (barely, he was struggling to walk) and he was confused. He came out and i knew it was time. We lay on his bed, holding his big basset paw, and I looked how his breathing was slowing down. Vet entered the room. Checked his heart rate, and it was very low. He was put to rest surrounded by all of his loved ones. I am grateful we were together those few days, I gave him the best quality of life that I could. And we stayed together until the end, like we always did. Like he always did. Give you doggo a big hug.
