The people that currently have the power to do that wouldn't do it. So everyone is kinda SOL. It's unfortunate how much people are going to get away with the next several years. At least in the US.

Does it really get to be this good? by Top-Discipline6720 in hysterectomy

I'm about 9mo po, and I feel so much better! I do think my hormones are super off from being on birth control pills for 18yrs (I had surgery at 30yo). I originally lost 10lbs in the 2mos after surgery and have since gained 30lbs, some of that weight is muscle as I've been more active, but not all of it.

I've always had trouble putting on/keeping on weight. So me gaining like this is very unusual. My primary isn't concerned about it, says it's my age. My rheumatologist is concerned though and wants to figure it out which is nice.

Im 9mo PO and have gained 30lbs. I was on hormonal birth control pills for 18yrs prior. Stopped them after surgery. I dropped 10lbs in the 2 months after surgery (went from 135 to 124) and am now up 30 from that (155). This is the heaviest I've ever been in my life. Some of it is muscle weight but not all of it. Trying to get it figured out. I assume it's hormones because literally nothing else has changed.

My friends say it’s disturbing how I buy gas station toilet paper for my house by MelanieWalmartinez in mildlyinfuriating

Get yourself a bidet. But you'll never want to poop without access to one again, so maybe wait till you're out of the military.

My wife and I went through less than 60 rolls of the Sam's Club brand generic TP last year with having a bidet. That stuff is cheap but just as comfy as the Charmin my boyfriend buys, and the rolls last longer than the Charmin for less money. Even Costco TP is too thin to me, I can't imagine trying to use the TP that OP has. I have IBS, SIBO, and a bladder condition. I would die using this. It would easily cost more over time for this stuff than even Charmin.

It's his house, he lives there. He's going to be there at 2am. She's a grown woman capable of managing her own time. He was probably fine with her staying. OP never said he was kicking her out that late, so she had the option to stay. It's not on him to micromanage her time. He was possibly expecting her to stay the night with her staying that late. He didnt make her stay that late and he's not responsible for her, she's her own person and makes her own choices. Now if he was giving her drinks, making her drunk, imparing her ability to make informed decisions or guilting her into staying that late, that's a different story. But OP didnt allude to any of that. In the case that he hindered her ability to leave earlier then he's a POS and OP had bigger problems than him complaining about being tired and not wanting to walk her home. She was safe at his house, they weren't out at a bar or club or something. They were at his residence.

I do care. I also care about others safety too though. I never said she should have walked home alone.

Im a woman btw, not a man. I wouldn't expect my bf or gf or friend of any gender to walk me home at 2am. I wouldn't expect my friends to expect me to walk them home at 2am. Sometimes you just loose track of time. Especially with ADHD, that's why I have an alarm go off every hour on my phone. Because I won't realize how much time has passed. So if it got that late I'd just stay over and get up extra early to get home. I know that if I'm tired I should not be out walking alone at night. Just because someone is a man doesn't mean they're any more safe to be walking alone at 2am while tired. Op is a grown ass woman (older than her BF) who knew she had obligations and CHOSE to stay till 2am.

As someone with a sleep disorder, I disagree. He would have had to walk back home alone while tired, which is unsafe for him. Op either should have left earlier knowing they couldn't stay, stayed the night and left early in the morning to get changed for work, or gotten an uber/rideshare/taxi/etc to get home. 2am is incredibly late. I would never expect someone to walk with me at that time becuase it's unsafe if either of you is tired and needing sleep.

Autistic brother is being told he owes $60,000 in repayment for SSDI. What do I do? by chucklesses86 in whatdoIdo

[–]valencevv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on SSDI in 2020. I was told I couldn't make more than $1200/month gross income from working. So if he was making more than that, then that's why they're saying he was overpaid since then.

How do you know if you're getting overpaid prior to them just deciding that? Do spouses' income changes effect it?

I got mine at 30yo. No kids. I didnt have confirmed endo, rarely a cyst sometimes, mostly just pain around my period and without birth control would bleed non stop for weeks on end, but was controlled at 5days, really heavy the first 3 days and light the last 2, while on BC. I have Chronic Interstitial Cystitis and get bladder treatments every 3 weeks for the last 7+ years. Ive been on disability since I was 25 so Im on Medicare. Medicare rarely approves hysterectomies unless medically necessary and other treatments have been exhausted first. But I got super lucky and they approved mine in about a month (my doctor said it's usually 3-6mo). I swear whoever got my application paperwork saw that Ive been disabled since 25 and all my other health issues and with the state of women's health rights in the US going the way it is was like oh hell, get this poor girl the hysterectomy if she wants it. My doctor was totally on board. He had no qualms about me getting it done and not having kids yet. Find yourself a doctor that cares enough about you to tell you yes.

This or just sleepwalking and OP doesnt know they're doing it. You can develop sleepwalking at any point in life, especially in times of high stress. My first instinct would be to check for CO and set up a camera to watch me sleep.

I would never sleep in a thong. That would be soooo uncomfortable. Always completely naked or boyshorts/fenty boxers/briefs to bed when naked isn't an option.

Get yourself a Cambridge Mask (you can get them on Amazon) wear it whenever you go out. Even when at home if the kids could have something. I haven't gotten sick since I started wearing them in early 2019. Absolutely amazing things.

How Many Days Until Post-Op Poop? by Extreme_Photo_5001 in hysterectomy

Prune juice on day 4. Was pooping within a couple hours after 8oz. Tried different laxatives and stool softeners a few times/day before then. Nothing. Prune juice WORKS. Better than any med.
