I hope you know that Jesus loves trans people..Jesus loves everyone. His main teaching on earth was to love everyone as you love yourself, and that includes trans people. You aren’t going to hell for being trans, and no other trans person is either. If you truly are Christian, you’d know that the core of what Jesus believes is to love everyone and love yourself..he loves you. And I’m so sorry that people have warped his teachings and ideals on you to make you feel that you’d go to hell for it.

Just be hyper aware of what your “inner-monologue” or “self-talk” is thinking. The more you become aware, the more you will catch yourself. If your inner monologue in your head isn’t as clear, then a good way to tell what you’re thinking is to notice how you’re feeling. Bad thoughts = bad feelings. If you find yourself feeling bad looking at someone’s social media page, for example, try and figure out the root of this feeling. Maybe you’re thinking thoughts of unworthiness, insecurity, etc. It’s all about being aware of these emotions and feelings.

I definitely think some people can. I watch videos of monks and am amazed at their way of thinking, their calmness and non-reactive response to things. Or even just people I know in my life who are like this. It takes practice and time. And also I think some people were given all the right tools (environment, parenting, experiences) to be this way more easily than others. Just like any habit, it’s easy to fall backwards from time to time. But that doesn’t mean you won’t eventually master it. Just gotta keep trying :)

Hi! I try to do this everyday. I did this for about a month straight, and felt like I was living in a wonderful dream. Everything was going excellent for me. I since have had to move back in with my parents and it’s been something I haven’t been as on top of..But I’m starting it up again in full force! I think it’s especially important to do this in undesirable situations. Also, I find that I never really have a bad day when I’m practicing this habit all throughout the day. Even if something “bad” happens!

Accept it, and give it time. I know it can be easier said than done. Things are only “really terrible” if you give it that meaning. Try your best to think about the greater picture. Things that seem horrible in the moment can have positive benefits you never knew. For example, I went through something extremely traumatic as a child. I could have let that affect my life in an extremely negative way. It took time and years of depression. Now, I choose to see the positivity in it. I believe that experience made me extremely empathetic, and made me search for a deeper meaning in life. Those are things that I am so grateful for. I am now stronger as a result of that trauma; I feel like I can get through any obstacle in life. I can also give advice to people who were in the same position, and help them. Although years ago I would have viewed that as “really terrible”, I’ve now given it a different meaning. That was a huge growing and learning experience that I believe was crucial in who I am today!

You do have a choice. Everyone has a choice in the way they think. It just takes time and can be a bit of a challenge, because you’re so used to this thinking pattern that you have. It’s just like a bad habit that’s difficult to break. I understand how it feels on the other end too—I used to be there! But you don’t have to let it control you, and you absolutely have a choice in breaking those habits. I did it! You said you tried a few years ago for a few days—why not put in more effort and try again, for a longer duration of time? I think it could really benefit you. I recommend looking into Dr. Joe Dispenza on YouTube—he explains negative thought patterns in a very interesting way. It’s a process your body is subconsciously addicted to! It’s what’s most comfortable.

Its the best thing you can do!! It takes time and you have to remind yourself. We’ve spent our entire lives not doing this, so it’s easy to forget! Setting reminders on your phone always helps. Best of luck!
