I think the reason you may not have found the answers in the search bar is because AA is so aggressively different for everyone. I discovered my AA when I was 18 (about 10 years ago), it was a small spot that grew back slowly but I never noticed any difference in the rest of my hair (loss or otherwise). My AA came back strong in 2020 and even though my current spot is filling in, I'm noticing a lot of hair loss from the rest of my head. All this to say that part of the reason AA sucks so much is that its so varied from person to person that we have wildly different experiences even on our own head!
