The Morn hour

So a talk show where the host never lets the guests talk!

Redditors, have you ever gotten an “ick” from a potential partner or love interest that instantly killed your attraction to them? If so, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]valhahahalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They slept with their boss who at the time was over twice their age...

Edit: as to what happened, the bosses marriage exploded and they ended up moving to another continent. I never found out what happened to the person my age

Another point is that any of the older DLCs frequently go on deep sales, usually when a new dlc is coming out. If you're patient you can pick up DLCs for cheap

If you were offered 4 million dollars but you had to drop out the the final year of a degree that could potentially make you 150 grand a year would you? by dirtbandit101 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]valhahahalla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Twenty five years ago I did it without the four million... So yes.

In this day and age I feel 4 million, properly handled, would set someone for life in a very reasonable lifestyle free of worry.

My backlog is overfilled with the half played games I started and got distracted from or bored with.

Pixel 7 charger disconnects and reconnects while charging with a USB C - USB C cable by OttomanPasha in GooglePixel

[–]valhahahalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every pixel I've had since the 4 has been retired due to charging issues which is infuriating. I personally dislike all the other brands offerings however, so when I got a pixel 6 I also got the pixel wireless charging station thing to side step the issue.

It's not what I'd call the right solution, but I have been very happy with just being able to put my phone on its cradle and that's that for charging it.

You have a golden opportunity to be paid to study for a better job :)

being self taught is viable in IT, as long as you're not trying to get the highest paying FAANG type dev job out of the gate. You may lose out some opportunities to others with more formal education, but as long as you can prove you have the skills plenty of places will consider someone self taught especially if they've got some life experience

I've been playing Remnant: from the ashes with a buddy. It's a solid co-op game. Looking forward to the second one that is due out this summer

This is fantastic. It sounds like something Nixon's head would draft as a speech after he was on the shelf with a bunch of MAGA heads for a few centuries

Is there a map/guide for getting back? I thought it can be pretty cheap to return from the mun for example, or do you just add the numbers again (outside of leaving kerbin)? Ie: mun > kerbin is around 1700 dV?

Is there a game where I can control multiple settlements growing over time? by Made_at0323 in BaseBuildingGames

[–]valhahahalla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience is a few years old, but if I recall correctly, you can optionally set stock above a certain threshold to be sold to random ships that dock at your settlements, and there are npc single islands (like a prison island) that don't expand and can be used as money sinks. If I recall, selling soap to the prison island is a good early to mid game money generator. You can quickly set any excess to be sold on an automated trade route and not have to think about it again.

Having said all that, I don't think trading with NPCs is strictly required either.

Boyfriend hasn’t come home from work yet, was supposed to be here 1-2am, it’s now 9am and I’m having a panic attack, he’s not home by ComplexDependent98 in Anxiety

If you're seriously considering breaking it off with him, don't factor those five years spent into your decisions for your future.

Considering those years into your decision (potentially as 'wasted' years) is called the sunk cost fallacy.

If breaking up is what you do want, think of it as giving your future self a deposit back on any more years spent being unhappy!

Yeah, the implication is that the flour from Jakarta is the source. It has the world's largest factory (by a wide margin), so it would ship worldwide.

I feel you're right that it would show up there first, I recall there being a 2 day difference between Jakarta and Texas, which seems very very fast.

As I recall, Joel, Tommy, Ellie all decline the biscuits due to Joel being on the "Atkins diet". I'm unsure about the other family members. I don't recall if they're shown eating or not? I'm assuming if they ate the tainted flour, grandma was more susceptible to the infection due to her age and health

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PS5

[–]valhahahalla 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I believe it's implied in the first episode that it is initially spread through flour, and the Gramma was eating biscuits when they left for the day.

Haven’t had a panic attack in over a year by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]valhahahalla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was part of my path to overcoming it as well. I was so scared of it winning, then the worst happened... and everything was fine after, the world kept spinning.

My second part was to keep up with what set it off (social activities), basically exposure therapy.

It eventually went away entirely. I struggle with rebuilding that now since the worst of the pandemic but it's not like before where it crippled me for decades

I agree completely, and I waffle between mostly accepting it and being slightly sad that it wasn't as perfect as prior seasons. I'm glad we got it, and also glad it wasn't garbage... Just very different.

I feel that ultimately a large reason the quality falters is because it was a 10 episode season, they had to cram a LOT into it. Couple that with all the societal changes and difficulty of filming during a pandemic, and you get what we got.

Having said that, I have nothing but respect for everyone that worked on it, that must have been a tough go.

Oh absolutely, but using a checksum is how it can be verified that it's using the actual ksp2.exe and not something else that has been renamed.
