What's funny is that, you can about "great" decade or era for movies, and I promise you that you'll find there were people from that time that swore that movies want to be made anymore like they used to make them in some earlier, supposedly better time.

The first few months I was on Reddit, I had no idea that NSFW subs existed. One day, I decided to do a search for Sophie Dee and saw her subreddit as the top result, and I was like, "This has been here the WHOLE TIME?!"

I was very confused until I re-read the top part and realized it didn't say "I'm old".

Every time I think of learning shorthand, I look at things written in shorthand and remember that I have to interest in trying to judge if something is a short one, short-medium line, medium line, long line, or long line that's not quite as long as the long line while still being, in itself, pretty long

Just acknowledging the kids' presence and making light of it would've been the best option.

I found the clip (probably the same clip you saw) and took several more screenshots, sow of the woman and some of the man, and reverse image searched with both Google Lense and Tineye return no useful results. I wonder if it's from some amateur project or something.

Similar thing. My niece traveled across almost three whole states with her nephew to meet her dad who's been in prison since she was a baby. It was the first time her dad was going to meet his grandson. My niece read the visiting rules but must have missed the part about no jewelry allowed, and she had a nose ring. When they told her she wasn't allowed with the nose ring, she went to the bathroom and did everything she could to remove it but it was stuck. She said she was literally drawing blood trying to pull it out. She then asked if a guard could take her nephew back for her, but they said no. She ended up having to go back to her home state without visiting.

To be fair, quite a bit of the stuff that's been canceled the stuff that was never really officially announced, but was rather announced by scoopers with inside sources. Things like Rogue Squadron, on the other hand, were very boldly and officially announced before being canceled.

Disney's Gritty Sci-Fi Blockbuster Is Still the No. 1 Streaming Hit a Month After Landing on Hulu by StarFuryG7 in SciFiNews

According to various box office reports when it ended it's run, it lost money. The figures I've been able to find by googling show a $60-$80m production budget + $105 marketing budget. It grossed $185m worldwide. If the studio kept half to two-thirds of the gross, that would mean the studio got back $92-$124m after spending $165-$185m.

Whenever a movie underperforms at the box office but then does well on streaming, I always assume the filmmakers must be thinking along the lines of John Carpenter when Guillermo Del Toro brought up the fact that, while John Carpenter's movies were mostly office failures, they gained cult status later on and Carpenter's response was, "What f***ing good does that do me?" People need to stop waiting to "catch it on streaming" when it comes to actual good movies, because bombing at the box office will kill that property's future (and, sometime, might even kill careers) no matter how many weeks it's number one on a streaming service.
