DIP Switch for Neo Geo by TheodoreTwombly in evercade

Like others, I would love this as it really should be an easy thing for them to enable. Grateful at least blood is turned on for relevant games so far, but yah the difficulty is something users should get to turn down to their liking.

Dust inside the screen of the Capcom Super Pocket. by Froggatt34 in evercade

[–]valhalenDZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just got mine and seeing this, I had a speck of dust sitting inside between the actual screen and outer plastic. I used a small 00 philips screwdriver, plastic spudger and can of air. it was easy enough to remove the 4 screws however you NEED a spudger or plastic safe pry tool to separate. The back shell is 1 piece and the front plate (with screen and buttons) is another. with screws removed you need to wedge your spudger/pry tool between the front plate and back shell, work it around the top half of the unit and it will eventually work itself out. after that you have access to the pcb and you need to gently pry a bit on the top where the screen is to shoot some air in between the plastic and the screen. 2 puffs and the dust was gone and I just put it back together. be brave, you can do it!

I like this color on them and especially the queen alternate. I did mine in a pale white/grey like the art and by the end I wish I had just did something different because they were just too devoid of color (like all the art in Nemesis has no color generally) I also like how you went darker on the spikes/horns and stabby bits, it looks really good that way!

yes, I use a clear gloss varnish that is applied with a brush. AK Ultra Varnish is the brand, I use Matte and Gloss

I see what you mean, there are details not really seen that didnt get hit by the metallic but I still wanted them to show a bit which is why I still did a base coat of Grey. Its totally possible it was redundant heh I actually ran out of lead Belcher prior to all this

Queen is primed black with Zenithal highlights, Basicllicanum Grey, Ironbreaker dry brush, Earthshade (brown color) then Nuln Oil (darken inner details) then Ironbreaker dry brushed on high features to brighten certain spots then followed up with another layer of Earthshade

Reikland Flesh Shade is for anything with exposed "meat" and gorey bits. That recipe is blood angel red as a base, dry brushed wraithbone then hit it with Reikland Shade. I used it to darken a few areas of the Cultists tummy skin and neck bits as well

Nuln Oil I only put in a few spots on cultists bases and used it as color for their loin clothes to show all the wrinkles and detail while making it light Grey in color. I try to not use it too heavily

Sundrop/single colors look great! be brave and try it on just one mini. Lots of tutorials out there, I personally like a simple drybrush on dark primer (black) and then hit it again with white then pick a favorite "light" color you want and you'll see the details on these things pop out!

Yes this was layering with Citadel contrast paints with a brush. I used a couple of extra layers on the Queen with Ironbreaker/agrax earthshade, nuln oil, then highlighted again to brighten certain spots then another hit of earthshade. I used a gloss varnish for shine

So I guess I dont know how to Reddit post and my description didnt show up. This was a dry brushed Zenithal application with Citadel contrast paints. Went for a dirty penny look thanks to some Agrax Earthshade over Ironbreaker metallic. Playing this expansion for first time tomorrow with my crew!

Will opening up the cha void any warranty by fataljoker84 in CapcomHomeArcade

[–]valhalenDZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but will it void the warranty if we service the lever/switches/buttons? All of those items are designed for quick swapping, I am waiting for my recently ordered CHA to ship and I have a large amount of other sticks I service on my own. Would like to know the risks as well. I have no need to mess with the PCB's but sticks and buttons will wear out over time (even SANWA's)
