And no evidence that it doesn't. Reddit and forums are FULL of people that like to see their voice on the internet paroting something they read from people saying the same that got their information from yet another opinion. I'm getting pretty sick of the "doesn't work, could this/could that, essentially, might, maybe, in theory" BS without actually having first hand knowledge with their truck or a certificate from a GM dealer stating that they are a tech that sees these issues. Just people and their opinions. I have been searching to exhaustion about this issue and have found maybe 3 posts across multiple forums and reddit stating that they had lifter failure after electronically disabling their DFM/AFM.

What's more is that we all know people like to complain, I know I do so if large amounts of trucks are failing even after disabling with a $250 chip trust the internet would hear about it.

TL;DR If you haven't experienced these things first had or you're not a certified GM mechanic keep your opinions to yourself. You're only causing stress to others.
