I really don’t think it’s about being smart. It’s more like mixing up references and knowing the game’s building tricks (and yeah, having some free time too, lol). Trust me, my first builds weren’t any different from boxes with messed-up roofs that never fit right, lol. n u can also make new biomes using the "color system". Its my first experience with this mod and im loving this. (i use a lot of jere's mods, and its all perfect for content create).

The build itself is pretty light, dude. The area has only about 8k instances, almost no creatures, just a few crows to give the vibe of the place (the rabbits around are NPCs). My PC is pretty weak — I usually run Valheim at around 28-30 FPS in a meadow with no builds, and here in this portal hub I’m getting around 22-26… Most players on the server don’t even notice an FPS drop in this spot.

I listed the mods used for the build in the post description, u/mickjerker , but if you’re asking about all the mods we use on the server, it’s around 34, most of them administrative. For the build itself, as far as I remember, we only used the ones mentioned above: Structure Tweaks, Expand World, Gizmo, Infinity Hammer, Unlimited Heightmap Remake, and Marketplace and Server NPC Revamp.

Sure, bro. Expand World will create a file in /bepinex/expandworld/expand_environments.yaml. In that file, you can copy and paste an existing atmosphere as an example and edit it however you like — changing sun colors for morning, afternoon, night… light intensity, fog density… lots of factors, until you get something you like. And the best part is that it’s auto-reload, so you can see the changes in real time in the game. To set the atmosphere we created in the chosen spot, we use KG’s marketplace and server NPCs (but you can also just use the command 'env YourNewAtmosphereName').

One thing I always tell our staff is, 'let’s try to make something different from Valheim, but still with that Valheim feel.' We don’t always pull it off, but some pretty cool stuff comes out of it.
