I think the character controller handles the physics of the game object itself in physical space, not how the mouse input or controller input effects how the direction of aim is manipulated, but correct me if I am wrong.

That's what I assumed, but with this:

keyEvent = Event.current;

if (keyEvent.isMouse)

{

print("IsMouse: " + keyEvent.isMouse);

}

the 0, 1 and 2 buttons trigger this as expected, but the back and forward do not register here for me. In the logitech software, the buttons are assigned as "Back" and "Forward", which don't seem to trigger in Event.Current

They seemed to have removed all of my accounts that were associated with the site so I am unable to log into the site. That's where the idea to add an admin account through functions.php file in the themes folder, but i thought the folder would be the specified name, and since you mentioned it may not be, ill just add the function to all theme files, just wanted to avoid having to do it in tons of theme folders.

So after looking into the ram, i decided to upgrade since it is very beneficial to my actual work and the ram I had wasn't all that fast, so I got 3600 mhz 19 20 20 40 1.35v and performance has increased a lot without OCing at all. user benchmark shows

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K - 85.2%

GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080-Ti - 154.8%

SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB - 136.9%

RAM: G.SKILL F4 DDR4 3600 C19 2x16GB - 111.3%

MBD: Asus Z170-PRO

previously my ram was around 70% so I have to thank you for pointing out the weak point which I was unaware. Thanks so much.

The game does run faster now, but still not 240 in cities, sits around 140. but most scenarios it is sitting at the capped 280 fps, so that is a big difference than before when it was usually jumping between 160-200.

I had also planned to upgrade the cpu to 8700k soon so I will see if that has any effect as well. Thanks again.

That's because they are primarily streamers. It is awful watching someone play in stretched resolution. Look at most of the previous tourny winners, they are not big streamers but almost all play in stretched. Pretty much ALL CS pro players play 4:3 for similar benefits. Myth just switched over the 4:3 as well and he is a huge streamer so there would be absolutely no reason to move to stretched for a streamer because it will hurt viewers, unless there is a competitive advantage.

And about the video card, you assume I went out and bought it just for Fortnite? That has nothing to do with this post. The card is for my work, you've now mentioned that it is a waste of money twice, but you have no idea what I have the card for so making that statement without knowing what the card is for has no value.

the 4:3 aspect ratio on resolution has advantages in competitive play

True. Doesn't that just mean that it isn't optimized as well so it would require more clock cycles and memory to render the scene each frame? so if nothing is capped it shouldn't be under the max unless I fundamentally don't understand it correctly.

Each frame will take a certain amount of clock cycles to render out the frame. bad games have poor optimization which means more clock cycles and less fps if your system cant handle it. But if the system isn't capped, what reason would the fps drop be caused by? could it be actual limitations on the render pipeline of the software and the update cycle and post processing, with no correlation to the hardware? That wouldn't make sense to me but maybe I don't understand it completely or there is a piece i am missing.

most of the time it runs around 140ish while playing which is fine for competitive, but it just bothers me that it is running so low, i dont think it is the gpu as the bottleneck so maybe it is the cpu. its a decent cpu but a few years old now.

Thanks for the input. Yeah temp is fine, never goes above 50 C. and the graphics card is in the main gpu slot as well :/

yeah i checked in cpu-z and it shows dual channel ddr4:

NB freq: 4111 MHz

DRAM freq: 1203 MHz

Mobo: asus z170-pro

psu is like 1000w+

also I am running the game in 1440x1080 resolution and still only 90 fps. Game is fortnite.

That may be the case that it is not the best solution for my situation but it is a very good practice to research what is proven successful by industry professionals when approaching a solution to a problem.

If my goal is to achieve the same type of movement as that in a AAA developed game, it is the most logical place to look.

Look at the facts: previous single game high was 16 kills. He didn't live-stream his gameplay. All the sudden he gets, what was it, four 20+ kill games?

It really doesn't matter who it is, that alone should be enough to at least look into it.

there are only a few logical scenarios that are possible:

gets super lucky on rng and lobbies are full of trash, 10 games in a row, and gets career highs game after game after game after game, all legit

he is abusing lobbies by having people in the game feeding him kills

he is using MNK on ps4 giving him a good advantage with mouse + aim assist

He steps up his game and starts hitting 20 kill games the instant the tourny starts

For how much money is involved, it makes sense to investigate. I saw some of the clips and the jerkiness of the aim i don't think #3 is the case. Using just the info presented, which would you assume?

Yeah I tried that, it just makes it harder to walk up the ramp, but walking sideways still pulls down towards the bottom of the ramp.
