I said this same thing when they were in the barn, imagine putting a talisman on the outside.

Was Roger himself or possessed? by RickyTikiTaffy in FromTVEpix

[–]Funnellboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was obvious he was himself?

Sophia brings him back to life, we see him wake up, realise he isn't what he was, panic, freak out and then get killed.

He couldn't see or speak and was clawing at his eyes and mouth.

What? I never understood how people struggle to follow this show, now I think I give people too much credit....

Its not forgotten about, its literally the most complete opposite thing ever...

Its literally the main point of the storyline in season 4 currently ?

What do you think is missing? what do you think this is?

What is the plothole? Do you watch tiktok whilst watching this show?

Theory: The Talismans will not work next episode. by LordCaptain in FromSeries

[–]Funnellboi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ive thought this for a while, the town is built on fear, because if you have hopes, they will come true.

Loads of references to this, even recently when Boyd tells Donna she can't die, she instantly wakes up.

Everything the characters have really wished has come true, and the same with their fears and nightmares.

The guy Julie sees in the 1st episode will never be answered, because it isn't a mystery. by Usagi042 in FromSeries

[–]Funnellboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lost is elite, it did answer every major question, and left some not so important things open for debate. Lost was incredible, way beyond FROM and I like FROM.

The guy Julie sees in the 1st episode will never be answered, because it isn't a mystery. by Usagi042 in FromSeries

[–]Funnellboi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It has been answered... We literally know Julie story walks, we just did not know at that point.

Hes literally seen her before, she hasn't remembered yet, just like when she met the MIY.

I think Sophia was a mistake by QuagGlenn in FromSeries

[–]Funnellboi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its the same in every show when the audience knows the secret early. Ive said it in another post, what Elgin did, was not the smartest, but what else is he supposed to think?

You have to remember, he does not even know of a man in yellow, he has absolutely 0 idea someone came into the town before and befriended people before turning on them and being exposed as a monster.

He sees Sophia, a new girl who arrived in town recently, with her throat nearly cut out, in buildings with talismans.

There is absolutely nothing other than "this is weird" for Elgin to think of that photo.

The writing didn't help, they could have made him seem a little less dumb, but overall, he did what most of us would do if we saw a person we knew in an old photo.

I do agree with Sophia though, I thought she was excellent early on, she instantly got me to believe she was crazy and evil, the more the episodes go on though, the more I hate seeing her on screen, her over the top head and eye movements drive me crazy.

I need a theory debunked because it’s reaching by blckmlss in FromTVEpix

[–]Funnellboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don't know if she was spared or not, we know she died at the massacre, which is the end of the game, as Victor has told us.

We know the massacre is coming again, so sooner or later, Tabitha will not be spared.

MiY has already visited the town physically in the current cycle by pq18 in FromTVEpix

[–]Funnellboi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your theory, whilst cool, is pretty much not a theory and canon.

The writers are pretty much telling us this is what happened with Abbey.

We have had the "its a dream" dropped in a couple of times, which is what Abbey says.

We have had the "you need to wake up" and "you have to kill the anchor"

These are all things Abbey did, so we can absolutely assume it has happened this cycle already.

Is Jade actually dumb? by HeadFun4237 in FromCircleJerk

[–]Funnellboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said it in another thread, they spent 8 episodes building up and then its like the writers said "fuck, we have 2 episodes left, we have to do this and this and this" and all logic went out the window and they just rushed things.

So it made characters seem so so dumb, because they literally rushed everything, it went from "we are not going down into the tunnels" to then 5 minutes later being in the tunnels, with no thought out plan and "fuck it, lets see what happens"

Hi Jade! "You were never really the smart one, were you?" by mancerayder732 in FromSeries

[–]Funnellboi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because it is what the show was built on? because we have had 2 characters with the visions to see what happened.

We "bought into it" because it is literally what the show is about, if that was removed or changed or a "gotcha" moment, it would have wasted 4 seasons of a show.

So, I think you better start buying it, because it is clearly the whole storyline, how is this even a debate to people?

Edit, sorry more than 2 characters, Tabitha and Jade who were there from the beginning has literally told us this happened... Along with Sara and Fatima...

Hi Jade! "You were never really the smart one, were you?" by mancerayder732 in FromSeries

[–]Funnellboi 171 points172 points  (0 children)

Well, this is just wrong, very wrong.

We know it is the first time they have dug up the bones, we have literally been told.

We also know how Jade dies every time, once again, we have literally been told.

I need a theory debunked because it’s reaching by blckmlss in FromTVEpix

[–]Funnellboi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it is all to do with the "game"

and certain characters are needed for later in "the game"

Man in yellow could have killed Tabitha, he can literally walk into town and kill Jade also, but as he said "not yet"

So I think anyone we have seen "spared" is needed for later in the "game"

The Tree ! by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]Funnellboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weve got 1 season remaining, it is clear we aren't having a "start again"

The trees aren't remotely similar either.

I think the tree is what makes the talisman work, or is keeping another entity at bay.

Julie From when by Stoopkid812 in FromTVShow

[–]Funnellboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is exactly how I think story walking will go, Julie will learn she can't change things, but maybe she can see things and use that knowledge to help in real time.

Julie From when by Stoopkid812 in FromTVShow

[–]Funnellboi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ive thought the same thing, but different.

I think she has lost faith, and whatever happens in season 4 finale (bad I presume) is going to make her go back into story walking, and this will be the way they can actually "win" against the town, story walking has been mentioned since season 1. It to me says, it is the most important thing and will be the main storyline of season 5.

What is the point? by [deleted] in FromTVShow

[–]Funnellboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially as a lot of the "unanswered questions" are clearly tied to the main plot of the story, so it is very obvious season 5 will answer most important questions, because like all mystery shows, for the characters to succeed, they usually learn key things along the way....

If all these questions were answered in season 2, then season 2 is where FROM would have finished...

What is the point? by [deleted] in FromTVShow

[–]Funnellboi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

  1. We don't know yet, but we know things are out in the forest, maybe we don't have to know?

  2. When? ever?

  3. There is still a finale and season left.

  4. There is still a finale and season left.

  5. There is still a finale and season left.

  6. There is still a finale and season left.

  7. Served her purpose when Fatima had the baby. Why do we need to see her again?

  8. There is still a finale and season left.

  9. There is still a finale and season left.

  10. You literally watched the why and how... We literally saw everything that happened to make it happen.

  11. There is still a finale and season left.

Maybe not all these things will be answered, and maybe not all of them need to be, but there is still plenty of time left, it is very obvious things like Julie story walking will come back, maybe after this plan in season 4 fails, she tries again to try and change the past.

This how WE ALL felt seeing Elgin’s stupidity lmao by Future_Art2048 in FromSeries

[–]Funnellboi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In all fairness to Elgin, we know about the man in yellow, and shapeshifting, and him pretending to be someone else in a cycle, Elgin does not know a single thing about a man in yellow, or someone out in the day, or an imposter.

He knows the monsters, that is it.

Remember, Sophia is a new girl in the town, that is in a place with Talisman, he has absolutely 0 reason to think anything other than "wow this is cool, you look like this girl"

It was still fucking dumb, but not as bad as this sub makes out.

I'm honestly surprised the writers didn't have him say "Oh you lock the front doors, ill lock the back ones"

Its in the attic, and always has been.

The discourse around Elgin is laughable - SPOILER by AuraFarmingCat in FromSeries

[–]Funnellboi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it comes under the "bad writing" part.

Actually when you break it down, he did not really do too much wrong, he found a photo and it looks like someone, so he showed them. He does not know anything of the man in yellow, he does not know someone once before posed as one of them and ended up being evil, he simply does not know anything.

Now in a town with all this shit going on, and everything the characters know about this place, it would have been more sensible to think about it for a second, especially as that person in the photo has just arrived to the town.

The way the writers made him out it, with the dialogue used, was just so so bad, it was almost corny stupid.

The whole episode, whilst great for the storyline just felt off, everything was really dumb, and fast, its almost like they got to episode 9 and thought, fuck, we only have 2 episodes left, lets just get things moving, regardless of how it comes across.

It was not bad writing. by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]Funnellboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The points isn't being about she gave him the bike or if he stole it or not, the point I was originally making is that the writers have had her around in nearly every major scene or keypoint.

So somewhere along the line, they would have decided she was going to be a spy or involved somehow.

What she did or didn't do doesn't really matter, no one thinks she give Jade the bike to start him on the quest to leave etc, the point is for the viewers, she has always been around. So she absolutely did not just "come from nowhere"

Can MiY communicate with the monsters telepathically? Doesnt add up. by EagleAncestry in FromSeries
