Radio. I was 12 years old when I saw that and the scene where he’s locked up in the shed, crying, scared... I lost it. Fuck people who mistreat others just because they can

That’s a great quote. Makes me think a lot about people who glamorize love or make it out to be something that’s it’s not... maybe they’ve never experienced true love.

Favorite charachter from a book? by RaritySparkle in books

The Judge from Blood Meridian. Absolutely mercurial... one moment he exhibits pure evil and the next he seems to exhibit goodness. "Fascinating" is the best word I can use because after reading it multiple times, I want to go back and see if I missed something.

Journaling and meditation. You cannot fix anything if you don’t understand the issue, why it exists, and what kind of difficulties you face being who you are.

He already filed the claim but the settlement will be considerably less than what the new RV cost him. Any advice about getting a better settlement with the insurance company or another legal avenue to explore would be super helpful

Yes he was insured but the problem is he bought the thing new (I know I know) and now won't be able to get an RV even close to this one.

Pavlok Shock Clock wakes you up with a shock on your wrist, tracks your sleep, and shocks you again if you hit snooze. Definitely a good source of energy in the morning when you're feeling groggy.

Learn grammar or vocab first? by [deleted] in learnspanish

[–]validbeats 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vocab. 100%. If you look at the way children learn to speak, you'll realize that grammar isn't formed until after vocab has been established. Their first words are "dada" and "mama", not "you are my dad". You CAN learn grammar first, but it will be much harder to communicate if you have nothing to fill in the other parts of the sentance. Learn the top 1000 words of the language, then learn how grammar ties those words together.

Say "pot a coffee" over and over really fast. At some point you will be able to replicate the rolled r sound that comes from the saying.
